The back side of the challenge card contains squares for you to customize to fit your reading goal!

STEP 3 Return your Summer Reading Challenge form to either Adult Services or Youth Services at any of our locations for prize redemption.

Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a new book of choice!

During this 30-minute session, children will explore hands-on projects that incorporate multiple STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) skills. Children are encouraged to interact socially with other children and attend sessions independently. Caregivers must remain in the library. Sessions are limited to 30 participants.

Mr. Jim’s Ocean Adventures Wednesday, June 8

Bittersweet Branch 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Mishawaka Library 2-3 p.m.

Mr. Jim has enjoyed snorkeling and diving in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, including Hawaii and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia’s Coral Sea. This fun-filled family program will introduce children to snorkeling and diving, with hands-on gear. Mr. Jim will also share a collection of seashells, photos of favorite water creatures, MAGIC and more!

Adult caregivers must remain in the room.

Free tickets are required and will be available at the Youth Services Desk of the location that you wish to attend beginning Monday, May 16. Due to the popularity of this show, the last 50 tickets of each show will be held for MPHPL cardholders. Limit 10 tickets per adult.

Join us for a fun, original retelling of The Magic Fish by the ROZ Puppets!

Two Sniffle Rats, who live in Squashbelly Bog, are bored and hoping for a better life.

Not much happens in Squashbelly Bog. The usual dull day goes by with meals of earwax soup and bug buffets. For these two Sniffle Rats, all is about to change when one of them catches a magic fish! Hilarity ensues with three wishes and some silly mishaps.

Teens and Adults Join MPHPL and our partners, the Kurt and Tessye Simon Fund for Holocaust Remembrance, as we host a Holocaust Art Reception. Holocaust art by local students will be on display in the library’s lower level and we will be showcasing Holocaust materials recently added to our collection. There will be speakers from the Kurt and Tessye Simon Fund for Holocaust Remembrance and light refreshments will be provided in our Spencer Gallery.

Raven is a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and received Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki attunement in 2021. She is the creator of Solray Studios, LLC and is currently enrolled in school for Massage Therapy. This event is sponsored by 1st Source Bank.
