Dungeons & Dragons™
Every Monday in August (no session 8/10) 4 pm | Grades 8-12 Adventurers! Ready your sword-arm and prepare your spells! The library is looking for aspiring heroes to join us for D&D! The game will be run on the roll20 virtual platform, and you will only need a computer/microphone/internet access to play. New players are encouraged and we will cover the basics of character creation. E-mail a.russell@mphpl.org to join and for set-up instructions. Huzzah!
D&D Quest Girls
Every Wednesday in August 4 pm | Grades 8-12 In search of adventure? MPHPL will be running a weekly Dungeons and Dragons™ adventure for a group of girls seeking to test their mettle in a fantasy world of heroes and villains! The game will be run on the roll20 virtual platform, and you will only need a computer/microphone/internet access to play. Beginners are encouraged to join. D&D for Adults
Saturday, August 22 11 am-4:45 pm | Adults Desperate to get your Dungeons & Dragons™ fix? We will be hosting a one-shot campaign for five heroes with the sternest of mettle! The game will be run on the roll20 virtual platform, and you will only need a computer/ microphone/internet access to play. Attendees will be allowed to prepare a 6th level character in advance using ONLY the 5E Player’s Handbook as a resource. For those registrants unable to do so, a pre-made character will be provided. Beginners are welcome, and everyone will receive an e-mail detailing how to get started before game day. Registration is required.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Virtual Meet Up Tuesdays: August 4 & 18 5:30 or 6:45 pm | Teens & Adults
Do you enjoy playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons™? Come hang out with us! This program is intended for teens and adults, but children are welcome to visit with help from a parent. A Dodo code will be e-mailed 15 minutes before each session’s start time. Registration is required.

Thursdays: August 13, 20, & 27 3:30-7:30 pm | Teens & Adults (Ages 14-24) Summoners unite! Want to keep your League skills sharp? Add our Programming Gamer Adam (Shadybug) as a friend on League and ask for an invite to the MPHPL Club.
Paladins™
Fridays: August 14, 21, & 28 4 pm | Teens & Adults (Ages 14-24) Join us for some games of Paladins: Defenders of the Realm™, an fsp where two teams of five compete online. Teen Gaming Night w/Jackbox Games Tuesday, August 25 6 pm | Grades 6-12
Looking for ways to connect with friends? Let’s play a Jackbox Party Pack! Try out games such as Quiplash, Tee K.O., Drawful 2, and more. Registration is required. Specific details on how to join will be sent via e-mail.

Family Paper Airplane Challenge
Morning Makers: Book Folding 101 – Hedgehogs
Think you can design the best paper airplane? Join us on Facebook Live for some ideas and strategies, as well as a little airplane history. Then work together with your family – or make it a competition – and put your skills to the test! Submit videos or photos of your airplanes and test flights to programming@mphpl.org. Stop by the Youth Services desk at the Mishawaka Library or Harris Branch beginning August 3 to pick up your kits while supplies last.
Join us on Zoom for a morning of conversation and crafting! We will be creating a 3D hedgehog out of an old book with simple book folding techniques. Registration is required. Details on when and where to pick-up program supplies will be sent via e-mail to registrants.

This short program (10 minutes or less) is perfect for you and baby to share a special morning literacy moment. No registration is required; simply visit our Facebook page shortly before 10:30 am to tune in.

Monday, August 17 10:30 am | Adults (18+) Tired of the same ol’ thing for breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Looking for a new cookie recipe for the upcoming holidays? Join us via Zoom and share a new recipe you’ve tried this month. Have a favorite cookbook? Show us your copy (or one you’ve checked out from the library) and let us know what some of your favorite recipes are and why. It’s Potty Time!

Ms. Jen and Ms. Carolyn will share some of their favorite stories starring the porcelain throne and show your little one how to put together our themed craft.
