Golden Hawk Marching Band Ends Season on a High Note The high school marching band wrapped up their stellar season by earning a Division I: Superior rating at State Contest on Saturday, October 19th in Pella. The band also placed 3rd in their class at the Wilton Festival of Bands, and earned Outstanding Awards for their Horn Line, Drill Design, and Marching Execution. This is the band's first season sporting brand new uniforms, purchased through the collaborative efforts of the Mid-Prairie Fine Arts Booster fundraising, and a grant from The Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
