The New High School Band Uniforms Have Arrived!
On Saturday, May 4th the high school band debuted their new uniforms at Large Group Contest, and earned a Division I rating! Thank you to the Mid-Prairie Fine Arts Boosters for your generous payment of $17,500 to help pay half the cost of new uniforms for the MPHS marching band. Thank you to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for your grant of $17,500 to pay for half of the cost of new band uniforms. -Dave Kunz

2018-2019 Highlights
55 students 5-12th Grade attended an honor band this year High School Jazz Band Placed 1st at District Jazz Contest and qualified for the Iowa Jazz Championships for the 4th year in a row High School Jazz Band: Division 1 rating at State Jazz Contest High School Concert Band: Division 1 rating at Large Group Contest Middle School 7/8th Grade Band: "I+ Superior" rating at Large Group Contest One MPHS band student selected for the SEIBA Honor Band One MPHS band student selected for the University of Iowa Honor Band One MPHS band student selected for All-State Jazz Band

Fine Arts Booster is a stellar group of parents that work hard to ensure our students have every opportunity possible to enhance and further their arts education. From purchasing instruments and equipment to covering honor band and charter bus fees, FAB has an enormous impact on our program.
