Round 16 saw Devon Meadows take on a very strong Chelsea side. The Meadows join the list of clubs in contention for a finals position, where results of this match could determine the outcome of the rest of theirseason.

The Panthersmadesomechangestothedefenceendin an attempt to change the lead in their favour, but the strength of the Seagulls goalers were up for the positional changes and increased their lead to 7 goals at the major break. The mistakes made by the visitorsinthefirsthalfhadthemplayingcatchupfor the rest of the match, but continued to fight hard throughout the game. The Meadows Emily Laroche provided a strong option on the line for the girls to reset on the centre pass as the goalers converted their opportunities under post. While the hosts did not make many errors across the last 30 minutes of play, Chelsea were too strong in their attack and madeitnearimpossibleforthePantherstoturnover any balls.
