LANGWARRINvSORRENTO

Langwarrin hesitantly waited for the results of the Preliminary Final against Frankston YCW and Sorrento on Saturday, and who they will battle for the 2023 DivisionOnenetballpremiership.

YCW started the match well and looked like early contenders to make a grand final appearance for the secondyearinarow.Acrossthefirstthreequarters, the teams could not be divided with a single goal to the advantageofYCWheadingintothelast15minutes,but Sorrento’s last quarter performance was nothing but brilliant to take the win by 7 goals, and put a scare throughLangwarrinfortheupcomingGrandFinal.

TheSharksagainlookedseamlessasateamparticularly in the last quarter against YCW, who will be disappointed in their finals appearances as they were dominate for much of the 2023 season and looked like theteamtobeat.

Georgia Hernan struggled to assist Wilkinson under post as the Eagles Taylor Sharp and Ella Weaver had her hiddeninthesecondhalf.IsobelleRossandcompetitions MVP, Tadiwa Kahonde, did all they could to stop the passes reaching Ryde in the circle but a 30 goals dominationbytheleadinggoalscorerhadtheEaglesadd anotherpremiershiptotheirname.

As 2023 Premiers and competitions best with just 1 loss in thelasttwoseason, whatdoesthislooklikefortheEagles in 2024. Will the team stay together looking for a consecutive premiership or are there other opportunities available for players. Chelsea will no doubt be at the top of Division Two next season and be premiership contenders.
