The uncanny liveliness of Duda Paiva’s foam puppets meets the finest dance talent to create visual poetry at its best. A post-apocalyptic world is explored and humanity is put to question. Instead of being born, man is designed by an extraterrestrial system which creates a perfect neo-human: eternally young, infinitely modified. But are perfection and immortality worthwhile, knowing we must give up everything that makes us human, over and over again?

How do the essential elements of puppetry such as breath, rhythm and focus translate directly to therapeutic work? Similarly, principles like attunement, empathy and active listening translate beautifully from therapy to puppetry. This workshop will be of interest and accessible to people working with a range of different client groups including children and young people, people with disabilities and the elderly in a variety of settings.
