Moving Mountains Medical Policy Moving Mountains Kenya requests that all sponsored read and understand the principles by which we operate, and that they and their parents or guardians agree to the conditions. Hospital /Dispensary /Clinic All medical cases are to be consulted at government hospital, dispensary and clinics in their locality.
Moving Mountains will only support the immediate family in relation to sponsored children
MM will not support teenage pregnancy cases. In case it does happen 2 years will be set aside for mother and child to bond and grow. A review will be done to get a way forward. Every case will be looked at individually.
Beneficiaries should take their drugs as prescribed and inform the charity if need of additional drugs are required in good time
Parents or Guardians Responsibilities Transport to and from hospital and food will be catered for by the beneficiary while on the visit
Parents will look for social workers in Government hospital to get wavier of bill as MM will cater only 50 % of the hospital bill
Both parents and students should look out for free medical clinics in press and posters organised by government or private hospitals
All parents and staff need to register for NHIF (National Health Insurance fund) which is 200/= per month and cater for both in patients and out patients
Official Receipts and medical reports need to be handed to the office after treatment
Moving Mountains Responsibilities Purchase all prescribed drugs if not available at government institutions which are free of charge.
MM will organise and facilitate medical training days during school holidays for students , guardians and parents
