The Red Brahman Zebu is a relatively new line, obtained from the Gyr and Indubrasil breeds. Like the gray and white, it is proven to be the best performing breed in drought situations; can survive with very low quality food transforming them into prime beef and withstand the prevailing weather conditions, also they have ability to walk long distances in searching of food and water.

It is the predominant breed among breeders of cattle in Colombia. Its accentuated heat tolerance, resistance to high temperatures and diseases and infestations of internal and external parasites are some of its benefits.

The short hair, thick and shiny reflects the sun's rays; his pigment and loose skin serves as a filter to ultraviolet rays and favors heat loss, besides the skin is also rich in sebaceous glands acting as repellent ectoparasites.

Crosses Zebu Brahman crosses between Brown Swiss breeds, Holstein, Simmental and Gyr, resulting in breeds with high adaptability to the tropical environment without affecting productivity.
