POST GRADUATE season 2014
Welcome
to Mountview’s postgraduate season
I am pleased to introduce this year’s season of work from our postgraduate performers and directors. Our postgraduate courses consistently attract diverse groups of talented people and this year is no exception. The postgraduate performers present three works about the foibles of family. Louisa May Alcott’s classic Little Women is brought to life by our musical theatre students while the actors perform John Guare’s TonyAward winning The House of Blue Leaves and Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall’s adaptation of Eduardo de Filippo’s Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Our MA in Theatre Directing has long been producing directors at the cutting edge of British theatre. Notable sucesses from recent years include Michael Fentiman, Maria Aberg and Michael Longhurst. This year’s students have chosen a diverse array of plays that demonstrate the vibrancy and variety of their skills from Marivaux to Mark Ravenhill. There is still time to book your place on one of our summer courses, whether you are keen to dip your toe in to drama school training or are an amateur actor or director looking to expand your knowledge.
I look forward to welcoming you. Stephen Jameson Principal and Artistic Director
