1. Choose your program(s) Your MRU application allows you to apply to two programs for no extra cost. Including two programs on your application is highly recommended as it increases your chances of getting an offer and starting your academic journey.
2. Review admission requirements When you apply to MRU, there are both general and program-specific admission requirements you must meet depending on your chosen program(s). 3. Submit your application Applications for MRU’s fall semester open Oct. 1, 2026. International applicants submit their application via the MRU International Application System. Programs in high demand can fill up fast, so we recommend applying during the Early Admission period, which runs from Oct. 1, 2026 to Feb. 1, 2027. Based on space and availability, applications for most programs continue to be accepted beyond this date.
4. MEET DUKE Originally from Vietnam, alum Duke Vo’s MRU journey started with his mom’s encouragement to study abroad, a path that led him first to Singapore and then to Canada. He enrolled in MRU’s Bachelor of Business Administration program, majoring in human resources. Duke says he chose MRU for its smaller classes and close-knit atmosphere. “It’s easier to talk to professors and make friends," he says. The Global Student Lounge became a huge part of Duke’s MRU life. The Lounge thrives on peer leadership, run by a rotating team of student volunteers and two student employees who plan events and actively cultivate a sense of belonging on campus. Duke began volunteering at the Lounge in his fourth year. As the Lounge’s student lead, Duke helped organize events, welcome new students and support volunteers. It became a safe space, a good study spot and a place for fun, community and purpose.
