EDUCATION: PREPARING YOU FOR THE JOURNEY

Any college or university can help you plan for your first job after graduation, but life is more than work. At Mount St. Joseph University, we prefer to help you go further—the long-term approach. Our liberal arts education prepares you for a lifetime of career and personal successes. In other words, it prepares you for life.

At the Mount, you’ll learn how to learn, and you'll do it by building a skill set for the future–critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, digital literacy, and entrepreneurism, all taught in smaller classes and in a uniquely supportive environment; one that will enable you to thrive and define your role in society and the world.

As a Catholic University, the Mount is committed to inclusive excellence to help you succeed. In fact, 98.9 percent of 2025 MSJ graduates were successfully employed, in graduate studies, or volunteering within six months of graduation. Are you ready to rise To New Heights?

Writer’s Block

We are dedicated to not just challenging your mind, but elevating the whole person. At the Mount, we have something for everyone to stay active, including the latest exercise equipment in the Austin E. Knowlton Fitness Center, as well as the only indoor NCAA regulation-size track in the region. We are home to 19 NCAA D-III programs, cheer, dance, and Esports, now competing in the new premier Esports Arena. We have a full slate of intramural teams, too. Learn more at msjlions.com.

GET ACTIVE AT THE MOUNT

To us, the best part about our offerings is that we make staying active possible for every student. We offer nine intramural teams that end each school year with a championship round, including basketball, cornhole, volleyball, and more. Get ready to sweat by walking and running the only indoor NCAA regulation-size track in the Cincinnati region, and work out in The Austin E. Knowlton Fitness Center with our state-ofthe-art equipment ranging from treadmills to rowing machines. There's even multi-purpose exercise space for fitness classes and activities, including yoga, crosstraining, and dance. Best of all, the field house is open to all members of our community.

COME HERE COMPETE HERE

Student-athletes are some of the most active leaders on campus. They work side-by-side with coaches, faculty, and advisors to successfully balance classroom work and team commitments. So it's not surprising MSJ athletes are consistently named to all-academic teams across conference, district, and national levels.

The best way to find out what a campus is like is to come see for yourself to learn about student life, financial aid opportunities, and more! Find spots on campus where students gather, hang out there, and get a feel for the character of the University. Also, feel free to talk to current students about their experiences, too. While you're here, come see all that Cincinnati has to offer.
