It has certainly been a dramatic and uncertain time for us all over the past six months and on behalf of everyone at Mounties Group, we hope that you and your family remain safe and well.

As we continue to navigate through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic it has been wonderful seeing members embrace our venues as we look to support each other. From 1st June, we were able to progressively reopen our Club venues with a raft of cleaning and safety initiatives ensuring a COVID-safe environment for members to enjoy. This was quickly followed by the re-introduction of our gym, swim and health & wellbeing facilities across both Mounties and Harbord Diggers all with best practice measures in place.
We have also focused on supporting Live & Local entertainment since reopening. Both Mounties and Harbord Diggers have a long history of supporting live entertainment, and given the dramatic impact that the COVID-19 closures has had on the arts and entertainment industry, we felt it was important to support our beloved local live performers, and so we filled our weekends with live performances.
Our sports & sub-clubs have begun to return to the paddock and in-venue and we now stand ready to welcome our first guests at Sussex Resort from 1st September.Our operations evolved with the launch of exciting new dining options including Casa Bistro (Italian) and AK’s Taste of Asia at Mounties, 2

Ready to grow, to improve the lives of our member’s and the local community.
We have just introduced the free Mounties Group App, which places your venue at your fingertips. This free App is available to download now and provides a digital membership card, access to points balances, rewards and offers as well as all venue information, booking opportunities and lots more. During this time, it was apparent of a need for greater care and health provision for our members. This strengthened our desire to fulfil this demand with the creation of Mounties Care. Initially, launched as the Coronavirus Helpline, Mounties Care is now ready to assist members across a full compliment of healthcare services, including: • Members Free Healthline, where you can call a registered nurse and talk to them about your medications, or get some mental health assistance, or ask them for general health care advice. • Care Navigation services to help our members understand the My Aged Care system and how to coordinate funding, to coordinate medical and
allied health services, or provide guidance through complex diagnoses and treatment options. • The provision of in-home care, helping our members lead more stress free and independent lives and we can provide clinical services such as Hospital in the Home and Chemo in the Home. Whilst the pandemic has hit us hard, Mounties Group remains in a strong position thanks to the leadership of our Board of Directors and a loyal and ever-growing base of members. We stand strong together, ready to grow to improve the lives of our members and the local community. While there’s no denying COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on many industries, there are few that have been hit quite as hard as the music industry, with the possibility of live entertainment decimated by venue closures and social distancing measures. Not one to stand on the sidelines, Mounties Group pledged to play its part in the renaissance by hosting the Live & Local series following the reopening of our venues, including Harbord Diggers. Harbord Diggers Live & Local series has been running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a mix of local artists performing acoustic sets for members to enjoy. This has already made a huge difference to those that need it most. Like other artists and musicians, Steve Tonge, who has more than 10 years of singing and performing, saw his schedule and income thrown into chaos during the unprecedented time, only for Harbord Diggers to reach out with an important set of bookings. 10

“For me, around 90 percent of my income comes from getting booked in local venues and clubs for live performances and this literally stopped overnight” said Steve. “I was expecting no income till at least October, so I’m absolutely stoked that the Diggers is pledging to support local talent with gigs.” Live & Local continues at Harbord Diggers every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Carlile Swimming Freshwater is excited to be open again and doing what they love - teaching kids to swim well. They offer swimming lessons for kids of all ages and abilities in their state-of-the-art swim school. Carlile Freshwater is ready to welcome new families to the pool and has spots available in their Stroke Development and Squad classes. Wow! What a year! Beaches Baby turned 1 on the 5th of August and we cannot believe what a crazy year it has been. Beaches Baby was set up in 2019 as the Anti-Online. To get parents back into the classroom, meeting each other and building a parenting village - FACE TO FACE! Well, 2020 had other ideas! Covid really changed things, but Beaches Baby has adapted and come through the other side and learnt a lot along the way. We have pivoted and then pivoted again and we are so proud to still be here, delivering quality classes and workshops, with amazing teachers to our awesome community. Speaking of Community, the way the families of the Northern Beaches have supported us through this has been amazing. We quickly took all of our products online, offering free local delivery during the lockdown and everyone rallied around us. And still, everyone really wants to Shop Local and Shop Small. So for all of this, we are grateful.

MAN’S GUIDE TO SKIN CARE Men are becoming increasingly more proactive in wanting to manage their ageing process and skin health keeping them looking youthful, fit and healthy. But issues arise with this if men have done nothing to protect their skin from an early stage as they will have more accumulated damage to contend with. Typically a male dermis is about 20 percent thicker than the female dermis, but thicker is not necessarily tougher.
