MOUNTIES TAKING IT TO THE STREETS At Mounties we hold the strong belief that once you choose hope nothing is impossible. It is for this reason that in a community highly susceptible to drugs, Mounties feels an obligation to exercise its efforts to prevent and limit the negative connotations associated with drug use. In partnership with the Ted Noffs Foundation, Mounties donated a staggering $1.5 million dollars in order to establish Australia’s first ‘Street University’ in 2006. The ‘Street University’ provides the youth of Liverpool and surrounding areas with access to free education programs and activities. It takes a bunch of kids from the ‘school of hard knocks’ to a brighter future of dance floors, recording studios and art dens. Greg Pickering, CEO of Mounties, is thrilled that the project has been successful, “We wanted to contribute something really worthwhile to the youth of the Liverpool community and encourage them to make positive changes in their lives, and with the help of the Ted Noffs Foundation we were able to achieve exactly that. Mounties Group is proud to be a part of such a diverse cultural community and we want to see that community

continue to grow and thrive. Without financial support many of the vital programs currently on offer for people of all ages and ethnicities would not be able to continue”. One of the most recent developments in the efforts to target drug use is the publication of Breaking the Ice written by Matt Noffs. For anyone seeking to learn about the drug and how to get through the crisis of addiction, the book is full of facts and provides light at the end of the tunnel for many users. Mounties Group continues to support the countless efforts of The Noffs Foundation to further develop its 14 year relationship and safeguard the wellbeing of the youth of Liverpool.

It is evident that Mounties Rugby League Football Club epitomises this Mounties' spirit.

The winner of The NRL Rookie will land the coveted prize of a contract with one of the 16 clubs in the National Rugby League. If you are exercising at home, it’s hard to ensure you are performing exercises the right way, so here’s our top tips to getting it right.
1. THE SQUAT

Get it wrong and you can put undue pressure on the lower back and knees, get it right and the squat is a great all round exercise working the hamstrings, thighs and butt.
