T H E R E I S N O G R E AT E R R E W A R D T H A N W AT C H I N G A C H I L D G R O W T O T H E I R FULL POTENTIAL As the old African proverb says, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Then it would seem that it would take a community to raise a school.

It is not enough to rely on local, state, or federal governments to take responsibility for the issues we present locally. At Mounties Group, we believe it is important to work as a community to nurture our schools for our community needs.

Wyong Public School is a located a short distance from Club Wyong and surrounded by an involved and supportive community.

The school consists of 440 students representing a wide range of backgrounds.

There are 21 classes including 3 support classes that cater to students with learning and behaviour needs and 2 specially 4

appointed, Opportunity Classes for gifted and talented children.

The school community is committed to the full development of the unique qualities, abilities, and talents of all students, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge that will allow them to succeed at school and in the wider community.

Students are encouraged to participate in extra curricula programs covering the areas of: Academia, Sport, Music, Dance, and various Creative Arts Programs, Cultural, Technology, Public Speaking, Debating, Thinkfest, Tournament of the Minds, Robotics, Coding, Chess, and Student Leadership to equip them with the knowledge and skills to meet the

challenges of a modern and technological society.

Great examples of school/community partnerships are happening all over the world. High rates of student success are generally the result of three groups collaborating to provide the best opportunities for the future—teachers, parents, and the community.

Club Wyong, as part of Mounties Group have been looking at ways to be involved with the local school community and support the incredible passion and vision the team there have. The initiative needed to be ongoing and inclusive.

After meeting with representatives from Wyong Public School and Club Wyong’s

Venue Manager, we identified there was an opportunity to create an award that could be presented at the end of every term for two students (1 in K-2 and 1 in 3-6).

This award will be known as ‘The Arts and Community Medal’ and will embrace, celebrate, and encourage talent, creativity, consistency, positivity, and skill in all areas of learning.

Mounties Group are looking forward to this ongoing relationship with Wyong Public School. There is no greater reward than watching a child grow to their full potential.

If we have learnt nothing else in these last two tumultuous years, it’s that we are all in this together!

We were thrilled to officially welcome Breakers Country Club into the Mounties Group family in late-March 2022.

Located in Wamberal, adjacent to Terrigal on the gorgeous Central Coast, Breakers Country Club is home to an immaculate club house, boasting great dining across its restaurant and cafe, multiple bars and lounge areas, as well as family friendly spaces, function areas, not to mention their two bowling greens and nine hole golf course.

We are thrilled to welcome their 12,000 strong members into the Mounties Group family and encourage all our members to visit the newest Mounties Group venue, Breakers Country Club.
