IMPACT BRAKE SYSTEM SOLE WITH IMPACT BRAKE SYSTEM

Innovative sole system which absorbs impact, increases traction and improves hold during braking. Devised and developed at La Sportiva®’s Research and Development centre in conjunction with Vibram®, it offers genuine advantages to users by reducing impact on terrain thanks to the unique inclination of the lugs on the soles.

C O N T R O L

The system is based on the design of the upper which identifies two articulation areas, allowing maximum freedom of movement at the flex points of the foot without compromising on support and protection.

The sole and ankle flex facilitates the forward movement of the body and prepares for the smooth passage to the next movement. The boot follows the natural movement of the foot to maximize its power without losing vital support.

La Sportiva presents “Stratos”: the innovative boot dedicated to the world of ski mountaineering that adopts a number of patent-protected technical solutions.

Objective: to provide a ski mountaineering boot which requires no post-sales service to enhance the lightweight properties and improve performance.

The 100% carbon outer boot in “3K TWILL” is molded using aeronautical technology and weighs only 534 grams (half pair size 26). Lightweight for ascents, maximum control for the descent, ultimate stability on switchbacks, ample freedom of movement around the ankle, comfortable to walk in as well as to ski. These were the initial project objectives we set out to accomplish. Challenge met!

The inner boot, with its patented heel hinge lacing system weights only 165 grams (half pair size 26).

Stratos: the new reference boot for ski mountaineering 100% “3K TWILL” carbon shell molded using Merelli Tech® aeronautical technology, shape retention at any 1 temperature to guarantee enhanced performance levels. Weight: grams 534 half pair size 26 .
