Love’s Purgatory
Love’s Purgatory Gigi Gaston
I have been to the place between Heaven and Hell, where paradise is within reach. The long wait is endured by each, and everyone is alone.
I have endured the odyssey of Love, where time and time again, I’m shoved from rocks by sirens who’ve won my heart, only to smash it as I sink in between the ebb & flow;
I have suffered the Sisyphus trial of traveling miles with a Purple Heart, gained from the muses who have bruised me time and time again.
It is the purgatory of Love I’m forced to wander blindly, but bear its curse with comfort now that I navigate with a friend.
