MVHS - HOME OF THE MUSTANGS!
From the Principal…. Mounds View High School families, With the recent snowfall, it’s hard to believe spring break is here. Whether your break involves travel or plans here at home, I hope you and your family enjoy the time off together. We have had a smooth transition into 2nd Semester. Registration for the 2018-2019 school year is complete and plans are underway for next year! Winter sports and activities are winding down. It was a wonderful season with over 400 students participating. Notable upcoming events include the rescheduled Spring Choir concert, on March 20 and the Physics/ STEAM fair on March 26. In addition, Synergy and Jazz Band are hosting a swing dance on March 29. Check the building calendar for specific Spring activities. Our students and staff are busy preparing for the ACT exam which will be administered on April 3. All students in 11th grade will register on March 21 during ReFLECT. REMINDER: Seniors do not have school on April 3, sophomores will take the Pre-ACT exam and 9th grade students will have the opportunity to visit local colleges. This past month we have been fortunate to host two fantastic speakers. In celebration of Black History month, Michael Alexander from Target Corporation shared his story. We also had an excellent presentation from Elizabeth Babkin with the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI). Elizabeth spoke to our students about finding and maintaining healthy balance. No doubt we will have a busy spring! There will be two more Communication Nights, one in April and one in May. These will be opportunities to connect with your student’s teacher or dean. As always, if you need anything, do not hesitate to contact us. Regards,
Stephanie Bruggers Principal
