This season is especially meaningful and exciting for Penrite as we celebrate 100 years as a family-owned, Australian-made brand. Reaching this milestone is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it makes our continued involvement in Australian motocross even more special.
2026 also marks our sixth consecutive year partnering with the ProMX Championship and Motorcycling Australia. Over that time, we’ve seen the series grow stronger each season, with great racing, passionate fans and talented riders across all classes.
Motocross has always been close to the heart of Penrite. Supporting the motorcycle community – from grassroots riders to professional racers – is something we truly believe in. Our motorcycle and bike care products are developed with riders in mind, and we’re proud to play a part in helping the sport continue to grow.
It’s also great to see the Ezilift MXW class creating more opportunities for female riders to build their skills and compete at a professional level.

This is our fifth year as the ‘presented by’ partner for ProMX, and we are thrilled to be onboard again this year.
For AMX, we’ve always lived and breathed motocross. From our beginnings in 2008 selling clearance motocross gear out of a shed in Bayswater, Victoria, to today with 46 stores across five states and an ever-growing team, motocross is in our blood. The sport provides the opportunity for everyone to enjoy motocross, from spectators to riders to industry sponsors like us, we just love getting involved and having some fun.
We also see our support of ProMX as a small contribution to ensure motocross stays where it should be: a wellmanaged sport viewed by as many spectators as possible who have a quality experience, whether at the track or watching the livestream or on free-to-air television through SBS.

TRARALGON ROUND SIX WRAP
Yamaha high-flyer Jed Beaton now has a vice-like grip on the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) after yet another dominant performance, this time in Traralgon on July 12.
Beaton’s 1-1 scorecard – his fifth clean sweep in six rounds – on the Monster Energy CDR Yamaha in the Kawasaki MX1 class has extended his lead to 64pts over defending champion Kyle Webster, with Aaron Tanti 1pt further back in third.
The MX1 battle has now been whittled down to those three, but it’s certainly now Beaton’s title to lose – and if he can keep his powder dry and results fall his way he could be toasting his first premier class success at the penultimate round in Conondale on July 26.
On a gripping day in Traralgon, Alex Larwood and Lachlan Turner put even more distance on their opposition in the Pirelli MX2 and Ezilift MXW classes, while Hayden Draper’s margin in Maxxis MX3 was trimmed by Heath Fisher as Seth Morrow scored a blazing double.
Round six of the ProMX Championship was supported by the Latrobe City Council.
KAWASAKI MX1
If Webster (Honda Racing Australia) and Tanti (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) do eventually lose the MX1 fight to Beaton, it won’t be for a lack of dare.
Webster and Tanti both led large chunks of motos one and two respectively at Loy Yang Park before costly crashes gifted golden opportunities for Beaton to hit the front.
And just like the seasoned pro he is, Beaton didn’t waste the opportunities, winning the opener from Webster and then moto two from Nathan Crawford (Honda Racing Australia).
Crawford (4-2) was second overall in round six from Tanti (3-3), Webster (2-4) and Ryan Alexanderson (Penrite Racing Empire Kawasaki, 6-6), while Rhys Budd (Motocoach Elite Racing Honda) and Levi Rogers (Caloundra Motorcycle Centre Yamaha) were top five moto finishers.
Crawford has now pulled clear of Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna TDUB) by 18pts (189 to 171) in their battle for fourth, ahead of Luke Zielinski (Yamaha, 143pts) and Zachary Watson (KTM Factory Racing, 142pts) who sat out both Traralgon motos after a heavy crash in qualifying.
PIRELLI MX2
Larwood (Honda Racing Australia) has personified determination in 2026, and his eighth and ninth victories of the MX2 season showed more of that mettle as he got the job done ahead of teammate and main rival Kayd Kingsford who again piled on the pressure.
Larwood is now 16pts (259 to 243) ahead of Kingsford with two rounds remaining, so delicately poised heading into the business end of the season – and with KTM Factory Racing pair Byron Dennis (216pts) and Dylan Walsh (207pts) also remaining as genuine contenders.
Dennis (7-3) was third overall in Traralgon after finishing on equal points with Walsh (5-4), while Seth Burchell (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha, 4-7) was next.
The opening moto saw Larwood hit the front soon after the start, and he then checked out from siblings Kayd and Ryder Kingsford (Honda Racing Australia), while Burchell just held out a fast-finishing Walsh.
The second outing had more bite, with Kayd Kingsford the early leader before Larwood passed him on lap five, while Ryder Kingsford retired after lap one.
TRARALGON ROUND SIX WRAP
With Ryder out, no-one else had the pace to apply the blowtorch to the leaders, with Dennis finishing well back in third from Walsh, Noah Ferguson (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) and Jet Alsop (Honda).
MAXXIS MX3
It all came together in scorching fashion for Seth Morrow (Honda) in round six.
After two podium finishes in the previous five rounds, this time he rode the wave of success all day as he won both motos to become the sixth different MX3 winner in 2026.
Jobe Dunne (Yamaha Junior Race Team, 2-4), Ryder MatthewsTaylor (Husqvarna, 7-2), Jack Deveson (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha, 6-3) and Jack Ellingham (Honda, 3-6) also helped turn the normal MX3 pecking order on its head, with championship leader Draper (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha, 8-8) completing
his worst round for the season – although he was only 12 seconds behind Morrow at the conclusion of the second moto.
Fisher (Honda Racing Australia, 4-5) also had Draper’s measure, and he is now 22pts (235 to 213) behind the New Zealander ahead of the Queensland double-header to finish the season.
Despite not finishing the second moto, Riley Burgess (Boyds Moto Racing KTM) remains in third on 193pts from Jackson Fuller (KTM Factory Racing, 188pts), Hayden Downie (Yamaha, 184pts) and Morrow (173pts).
EZILIFT MXW
American Lachlan Turner (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) continued her imperious MXW form in Traralgon with two clinical victories over four-time defending champion Charli Cannon (Honda Racing Australia) and Taylah McCutcheon (JPM 360 Kawasaki).
Turner now has a perfect 100pts at the halfway mark in the championship ahead of McCutcheon (76pts) and Cannon (66pts).
The day’s major flashpoint occurred in the opener when Turner and Cannon collided and went down, but both were able to remount as Turner eventually prevailed by six seconds – while McCutcheon also had plenty to spare over Darci Whalley (Honda), Emma Milesevic (Yamaha) and Madi Simpson (Yamaha).
Turner was ruthless in moto two, with her best lap over four seconds faster than Cannon as she waltzed to her fourth successive WMX victory. The top six was unchanged from the opener, which allowed Whalley (59pts) to inch closer to Milesevic (62pts) in the standings. Simpson (52pts) is sixth.

ABOUT THE SUNSHINE COAST MOTORCYCLE CLUB AND GREEN PARK
The Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club (SCMCC) was established in 1972 and is one of Queensland’s longest-running off-road motorcycle clubs. The club initially operated from a small motocross track on Wises Road, Maroochydore. As interest in the sport grew, the club relocated in 1973 to a dairy farm on Image Flat Road, Nambour, where it developed a larger motocross circuit and built a strong membership through regular race meetings and club events.
In 1976, the club was invited by the trustees of the Conondale Memorial Sports and Recreation Reserve to establish a permanent motorcycle venue at the reserve, near Conondale. This marked the beginning of a long and successful partnership between the club and the local community.
The first competitive events at Green Park were held in 1977, fast-tracking Green Park as one of Queensland’s premier motorcycle sporting facilities.
Originally established in 1927, the Conondale Memorial Sports and Recreation Reserve had long served the local community as a venue for cricket, tennis, picnic horse races and other community
gatherings. The name Green Park has been associated with the reserve since the 1980s and is believed to honour Campbell Green, Chairman of the Reserve Trust, whose support was instrumental in bringing motorcycle sport to the venue.
Over the following decades, Green Park developed into one of Australia’s most versatile venues hosting club, state, national and international motocross and grass track competition, as well as moto trials.
The Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club has also become well known for its annual Classic Weekend, celebrating pre-1995 motorcycles and bringing together riders and enthusiasts from across Australia.
In 2027, the Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club will celebrate an extraordinary milestone – 50 years of continuously conducting motorcycle events at Green Park. The anniversary will recognise not only the achievements of the club, but also the thousands of volunteers, riders, officials, families and supporters whose passion and dedication have made Green Park the iconic venue it is today.

MX1 CLASS
The Kawasaki MX1 class is the top category in ProMX, where the top factory-backed teams and riders compete, representing all the major Japanese and European manufacturers on latest state-of-the-art 450cc four-strokes – including Italian marque Beta for the first time.
In Kawasaki MX1, you’ll get to see the best riders in the nation and international stars who may make a one-off appearance or compete in the entire championship. This only serves to elevate the level of competition and add even more star power.
Leading the 2026 charge in Kawasaki MX1 is two-time defending champion and Motocross of Nations winner Kyle Webster (Honda), who has been pushed to the limit by Jed Beaton (Yamaha) since 2024.
Beaton’s 2025 season was ultimately cut short by injury, as he dropped back to fourth behind Nathan Crawford (KTM) and Wilson Todd (Honda).
The leading quartet all returns in 2026, and will be joined on the MX1 starting gates by multiple champion Dean Ferris (Kawasaki), Todd Waters, 2023 champion Aaron Tanti (Yamaha), Zachary Watson (KTM), Cody O’Loan (Beta) and Bryce Ognenis (Yamaha), as well as a new generation of young guns eager to show their skills in the premier category.

In 2025 the ProMX Championship will welcome back the hotly contested Pirelli MX2 class, a stepping stone for young riders on the path to professional racing. This class allows riders as young as 15 to compete on machines ranging from 122-250cc: the perfect place for young talent to showcase their skills and make their mark.
With most of the top riders, including Ryder Kingsford (Honda), Noah Ferguson (Yamaha), Alex Larwood (Honda), Byron Dennis (KTM) and Jayce Cosford (Kawasaki), returning in 2026, the heat will be on from the get-go – and that’s without even factoring in hotshots graduating from MX3, including Kayd Kingsford (Honda), Jet Alsop (Honda) and Ky Woods (Yamaha).

MX3 CLASS
The Maxxis MX3 class is the stepping stone for juniors to advance to the senior ranks of nationallevel racing. It caters for riders aged 14-U18 who can race on machines with a capacity ranging from 122150cc two-stroke and 200-250cc four-stroke.
This class also offers exceptional riders the chance to move up early to the Pirelli MX2 class at 15, aligning with international age groupings.
The Maxxis MX3 serves as an entry point for both privateer racers and manufacturer-backed team riders to learn the ropes of professional racing and get accustomed to the style of racing, schedules, and track conditions.
The objective of this development class is to equip riders with the skills and knowledge needed to make a smooth transition and embark on a successful career in the MX2 class.

MXW CHAMPIONSHIP
The Ezilift MXW class is the premier women’s motocross competition in Australia. With participants who are at least 15 years old and riding on machines of 125cc or higher, MXW has produced many talented champions who have also made their mark internationally, including Charli Cannon, Meghan Rutledge, Maddy Brown, Emma Milesevic, Jess Moore and Danielle McDonald.
The 2026 MXW championship promises to be highly competitive, which includes the return of reigning champion Cannon who will be put under the blowtorch by reigning American champion Lachlan Turner (Yamaha) making her full-time debut.
After breezing through the last four MXW championships, Cannon’s battle with Turner carries huge anticipation –with the duo then set to continue the budding rivalry in the 2026 American title.
Then there’s the other ProMX regulars such as Taylah McCutcheon (Kawasaki), Taylor Thompson (KTM), New Zealander Karaitiana Horne (Kawasaki), Madi Simpson (Yamaha), Dari Whalley (Honda), Mia Tongue (Honda), Leah Rimbas (KTM) and Emily Lambert (GASGAS).
Recent MXW initiatives such as the popular track walk will also continue in 2026, which especially benefits those who are competing in the top class for the first time.

Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) fans won’t miss a minute of the action in 2026 with SBS to continue as the official broadcast partner of ProMX.
