THE ARAI DIFFERENCE
Before we start there is one piece of very important information you must know about Arai’s car racing helmets. Whether at the very top in F1 – where we’ve been since 1984 – or just starting out in karts (and all points in between) we do not make custom ‘racing helmets’ for drivers. The exact same Arai helmets you see on the track, worn by any driver in any series are available to you directly at your local Arai dealer. All of our car racing helmets, with all of their technical features and detailed functionality are product of a depth of knowledge built on the experience of decades – there are no short cuts. It’s as simple as that.
Arai has been at the forefront of car racing for many decades and to date, many of the world’s top drivers competing in all 4-wheel racing disciplines from Formula 1 to WTCC wear our helmets.
For those looking for a car racing helmet, our SNELL and FIA approved helmets are the GP-7 SRC & FRP models and the all new GPV-R helmet! The GP-J3 helmet is suited to closed cockpit car racing making it a perfect choice for the Rally driver.
For the Karting enthusiast we have the SNELL K2015 approved SK-6 Go Kart helmet, the CMR approved CK-6 karting helmet which is specially designed for junior kart racers and the brand new SKV-R karting helmet!
WHY ARAI?
7-YEAR WARRANTY – FROM THE MANUFACTURE DATE
All Arai helmets are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship, and are serviceable only for the properly tted rst user for 5 years from date of rst use, but no more than 7 years from date of manufacture.

Each Arai helmet is made by hand.
But from the bare outer shell to the nished helmet, including the advanced design applications, the hands of skilled craftsmen perform everything.

From the shell moulding to the paint area, from shell inspection to the nal nspection, each time a craftsman works on a helmet he inspects it in detail to ensure that the customer gets a perfect nished product.

RESHAPED FROM THE SMALLEST DETAILS UP, THE GPV-R HELMET IS THE REFINED FORM OF ARAI’S NEXT GENERATION FOR ELITE-LEVEL CAR RACING.
The new GPV-R has been developed around a lower visor pivot point, making the upper shell smoother and rounder. This redistributes impact energy more ef ciently, minimising or even avoiding energy intrusion into the helmet by allowing impacts to glance off the surface more easily.
With an 8mm taller eld of view and a new centre visor lock, the helmet’s function is enhanced while meeting the very latest FIA homologation standards.
Inside the shell is a re-retardant system liner with 7mm dense foam pads on either side that allow an adjustment up to two sizes, with microphone-ready cheek pads and a removable centre pad for various hydration systems. The installed M6 terminal makes the GPV-R compatible with FHR anchor posts, meaning it is almost ready to go out of the box.
Offering wider customisation to ensure maximum driver comfort and focus, the GPV-R is an exciting new step towards the next generation of Arai innovation and Priority for Protection.

THE SKV-R IS SOLELY FOR KARTING USE AND HAS BEEN REDESIGNED WITH THE SAME PHILOSOPHY AND INNOVATION AS THE GPV-R, AFFORDING THE SAME GLANCING OFF PERFORMANCE AND DRIVER PROTECTION.
A lower visor pivot point results in a smoother and rounder upper and shell, with an additional 8mm of view for greater track awareness. Like the GPV-R, the new centre visor lock on the SKV-R ensures effortless closure and essential function.
An odour-resistant system liner with adjustable foam pads either side offers the ideal t, with microphone-ready cheek pads and a removable centre pad for various hydration systems. The SKV-R does not feature FHR compatibility, meaning it is ready for racing action straight out of the box!
The SKV-R is homologated to FIA 8878-2024 & Snell K 2025 (pending approval)

THE GP-7 SRC ABP (ADVANCED BALLISTIC PROTECTION) IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE OF ARAI ENGINEERING, PERFORMANCE AND COMFORT. IT ALSO CONFORMS TO THE FIA STANDARD 8860-2018, WHICH IS INTENDED TO BE THE SAFEST IN THE WORLD FOR TOP-END HELMETS USED IN MOTOR SPORTS AND AN ADVANCE ON FIA 8860-2010.
Suitable for open cockpit racing the GP-7SRC ABP offers Advanced Ballistic Protection with a speci cation built around development of a unique advanced ballistic test, based on military speci cations.
Please note the GP-7 SRC ABP come without top vents tted (vent holes are left open). Each helmet box will contain a package with various ventilation ducts so that the driver can choose what’s most suitable depending on driving position and personal preference.

THE GP-7 FRP MOTORSPORT HELMET CONFORMS TO THE NEW SNELL SA2020 STANDARD AS WELL AS THE FIA 8859-2015 HOMOLOGATION.
A Complex laminate construction with Arai’s proprietary Peripheral Belt for additional reinforcement has been used, giving the best characteristics for the shell’s glancing off ability.
FHR M6 threaded anchors are tted inside the helmet for easy installation of optional FHR post mounts if required. The GP-7 also features a removable centre chin piece to easily install a drinking system.

THE GP-6S IS DESIGNED WITH THE SPORT DRIVER IN MIND, HENCE THE “S” DESIGNATION.
It uses the same shell shape as the GP-6 (PED) and state-of-the-art GP-6RC, along with the same wider eye port for increased peripheral vision.
The GP-6S features a single 10mm intake and exhaust vent enhancing air ow for improved ventilation. The cLc (Complex Laminate Construction) outer shell uses much of the GP-6 RC technology and styling.

SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR JUNIOR KART RACERS, OFFERING THE SAME VENTILATION, COMFORT, AND CONFIDENCE-INSPIRING FIT, BUT IN A SMALLER AND LIGHTER FORM FOR YOUNG DRIVERS WHO ARE TOO SMALL TO WEAR OR SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE ADULT SK-6 KARTING HELMET.
The lightweight CK-6 features an SFL outer shell and both outer and inner shell are developed for a perfect t on children’s heads. It has four ventilation ducts on top of the helmet with effective twin ventilation slots in the chin bar.
Meets SNELL/FIA CMR-2016 standard for junior karting.

THE ARAI GP-J3 IS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF ARAI’S PURSUIT OF COMFORT AND FUNCTION IN ONE ATTRACTIVE PACKAGE WHOSE SIMPLICITY AND SMOOTH LINES BELIE THE COMPLEX ENERGY-MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITHIN.
The shell shape and construction incorporate extended facial coverage with sculpted FCS cheek pads for improved support and comfort. The same care and attention that Arai puts into every full-face helmet can be found in the details of the GP-J3 open-face series.

BASED ON THE GP-6 SERIES SHELL DESIGN, AND UTILISING THE SAME SHIELD, THE SK-6 IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR PRO LEVEL KARTING.
With features and advancements that provide incredible ventilation, comfort, lightness, and feeling of con dence many have come to expect from Arai.
Thanks to its incredibly strong, proprietary cLc (Complex Laminate Construction) shell, its strength allowed Arai to give the SK-6 an extremely soft EPS liner for better comfort and impact energy management. If you’re serious about taking your karting to the next level, choose the helmet that’s already there.
