It’s time to TriYas

Triathlon season starts in Abu Dhabi this month

It’s the perfect sport for multi-taskers. If you’re a fan of running, swimming and cycling, one of the biggest triathlons in Abu Dhabi takes place this month. TriYas features a swim through Yas Marina, a cycle on the track at Yas Marina Circuit, and a run around Yas Marina. The Sprint category (known as TriWithRio) features a 750m swim, a 22km cycle and a 5km run, while the Olympics category features a 1,500m swim, a 38km ride and a 10km run. There are also categories for kids and team races.

It’s the 11th year for this event, and while all the necessary safety precautions will be put in place, the atmosphere is guaranteed electric. All participants get a goodie bag with bib and bike numbers, a swimming cap, a finisher’s T-shirt, and a finisher’s medal.
