The classes, described as mindful movement meditation practice, have a devout following in Dubai from all walks of life – from students to CEOs. The basis of the theory behind 5Rhythms is that negative life experiences and emotional trauma become stored in our bodies over time. By moving our bodies, we can shake up firmly rooted systems of thought. In each class, participants practice moving to each of the rhythms: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. Over time and with regular practice, people begin to discover the things they have been carrying around in their bodies, and learn to heal.
