Can you talk us through your career? I am a passionate, thorough, dedicated doctor – who maintains and restores human health through the practice of medicine, in my case, dermatology. A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. A dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions. Aesthetic medicine has always fascinated me. Dermatology is linked with immunology, as there is a lot of science and research. I did my Master’s studies in the field of nutritionism and skin, and PhD at prestigious European universities. But even up to today, I have never stopped discovering, learning, and developing myself as a doctor. Personally, for me, it is truly amazing, always having the opportunity to learn something new and exchange knowledge. I am always improving and doing all to become the best version of myself. As a European and American board-certified physician I have been internationally recognized for my expertise. I have completed multiple training programmes in aesthetic dermatology and anti-ageing medicine in the USA, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, South Africa, and Brazil, to name a few. In addition, I have also worked with the best and learned from the best experts today. I spend time teaching, learning, and training other physicians in my field of dermatology and aesthetic procedure. This is the best way to improve your expertise when you have a one-on-one with recognized global leaders and experts. What inspired you to open your clinic here in Dubai? My passion and drive to become a better version of myself. I am in constant competition with myself – and this is how the idea of Lucia Clinic started. I wanted to create a unique lifestyle brand, a destination for beauty. At Lucia Clinic, we emphasize the necessity of looking at the whole person rather than just, for example, the face.
