This is a very special edition for me, as here we present the new generation that will continue the legacy of MOSSO. I feel a very deep pride in seeing my children join the family business. For me and for my wife, it has been a very important motivation to know that the company and all the effort that has been put into it for almost 40 years will endure.
Today, my children are learning with great interest about this wonderful craft that is jewelry, goldsmithing, and watchmaking. And beyond representing the finest Swiss high watchmaking brands, MOSSO is a brand in itself. Not only do we design and manufacture watchmaking and jewelry in our workshops, but also silk, leather, and fine writing instruments with a high standard of quality, which requires time and great dedication.
From their different disciplines and roles, this new generation is becoming part of the entire process of creation, manufacturing, sales, and marketing at MOSSO. There is a lot of work ahead, but I am certain of the professionalism with which they carry out this task.
As a father and founder, it is a tremendous honor that my children want to continue this legacy. They asked to participate and to belong. This is something we value deeply because there is a profound respect for each person’s vocation. Living with passion is essential, and we see in them a motivation that gives us the confidence that all the tools and conditions are in place for MOSSO to continue growing and driving the luxury industry in Chile.

“I HAVE ALWAYS RESONATED WITH ART”
At 22 years old, and while studying architecture, the son of former Miss Universe Cecilia Bolocco and former President of Argentina Carlos Menem makes time for a passion he discovered by chance: modeling. And what better way to do it than by showcasing the designs of Ernesto Mosso, with whom he shares many years of unconditional friendship. “His family is like my family,” he says.

At 22 years old and with nearly 400 thousand followers on Instagram, Máximo Menem Bolocco knows what it is to be a public figure. And not only because he is the son of Chilean former Miss Universe Cecilia Bolocco and former Argentine president Carlos Menem, but also because at the age of 14 he became a symbol of resilience. At that age, he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor that required an innovative treatment with proton therapy (an advanced form of radiotherapy with fewer side effects) in the United States, where he underwent surgery on November 16, 2018.
Today, he not only gives thanks for life, but also actively works as a spokesperson for the CARE foundation (Cancer, Access, Network and Hope), created by his mother to support patients who, like him, faced the tremendous uncertainty that comes with a cancer diagnosis, as well as to help combat the socioeconomic gap that patients face when seeking treatment.

Later, at 18, some media outlets began to take notice of what was then a foreign trade student. They interviewed him, photographed him. They wanted to know about his cancer, but also about what it was like to grow up with such well-known parents in Chile and Argentina.
In that context, the images he created for the Chilean fashion and trends magazine Velvet, he says, marked the beginning of an unexpected path in modeling. He appeared on the cover, wearing a light blue half-open shirt and fitted blue trousers. Later, he posed for L’Officiel, this time dressed entirely in white. Then brands such as Puma, Adidas, and Scalpers began to call him, until in 2024 he reached what he calls “the big leagues”: the Paris television campaign, where he was the face of one of the largest retail companies in Chile, and which remains the most massive work he has done as a model.
—How did you handle suddenly seeing yourself on billboards in the streets and malls?
—I never really saw myself (he laughs). I’ve done interviews and podcasts, and I don’t listen to them because I feel embarrassed… But I really liked the experience; it was fun. We had a great time and I enjoyed doing it.

“Nothing excites and fascinates me more than creating”.
His campaign with MOSSO
In December, Máximo was the face of MOSSO’s Christmas 2025 campaign. In the photos, he appears wearing his own clothes —a suit he only wears on special occasions— showcasing watches, a bracelet, and a chain, all designed by Ernesto Mosso for the brand that bears his surname.
Máximo really liked these pieces — “they are beautiful,” he says— and feels more than honored to be photographed with them. Their weight, quality, and aesthetics are unquestionable.
It is perhaps the modeling job that has made the most sense to him, because Máximo has a very close relationship with the Mosso family. In fact, he was recently present alongside his mother at the wedding of Emiliana Mosso, held in October at Durigutti winery, in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. An event also attended by Chilean actor Benjamín Vicuña.
—The Mosso family has always been like family to me. I’ve known him for a long time; I see him as a great father figure. As a child, I used to go watch him play polo, because my mom is his friend and later married Pepo, who is also a friend of Ernesto. His daughters are like sisters to me. There has always been a lot of affection, so when they called me to model for them, of course I said yes —he explains.

—What was this experience like for you as a model?
—They wrote to me about half a year ago asking if I wanted to be part of MOSSO, and I said I’d be happy, happy. Then they called me in November to invite me to be part of the Christmas campaign, and I answered that I’d be happy to join. It felt like a call from sister to brother; I was never going to say no to someone so close. The photos were taken in a studio in Providencia, and it took us a very long time. There were many different shots and different lighting setups. They wanted a dim light, but at first it was so dim that nothing could be seen (he laughs). We had to change the set, but in the end, everything turned out well and we had a great time. We also made a video.
—What can you say about the pieces you modeled?
—Ernesto is very detail-oriented when designing, and that makes his work very elegant. I also love that they carry his signature. That has a special value for me, since I know him… I don’t wear much jewelry, only a small chain with a Holy Spirit medal that I was given many years ago for my first communion; sometimes I also wear thinner chains. But I loved wearing these from the photos, because they are very simple, very beautiful, and very elegant, like everything from MOSSO.
—What do high-end watches mean to you?
—Their value lies in the fact that they transcend time. You can wear them your whole life and through all future generations; I find that very beautiful. Even more so if it’s a gift, being able to continue wearing the watch of someone who is no longer here has a very special meaning.
These days, Máximo combines his work posing for different brands with his architecture studies at Universidad del Desarrollo in Santiago de Chile. He is fascinated by the career which connects him with the pursuit of beauty he shares with the Mosso family. A pursuit he showcased in 2025 by designing, together with Paris stores, his own line of urban sneakers for men, inspired by five iconic natural locations in Chile: Torres del Paine National Park, San Pedro de Atacama, Punta Lobos (Pichilemu), and Chañaral.
—I spent a semester in international trade and told myself: this is not for me. I switched to architecture because I have always resonated with art; with what human beings can create. My mother always says that as a child I would watch her draw, always deeply involved in the world of design, because she is a fashion designer, and I love that. I’m happy in architecture, because nothing excites and fascinates me more than creating —he concludes.

FAMILY TRADITION AND A STORY THAT CONTINUES
MOSSO’s headquarters, on Luis Pasteur in Vitacura, is a clear reflection of a distinguished fusion between tradition and innovation. It combines Swiss precision with contemporary design. At the entrance, a large M rises as a sacred monogram; beside it, three young people pose for the interview. In the center, seated on a white stool that contrasts with his dark suit, is Ernesto Jr. (25), whom everyone calls Tito; to his right, Marina (24), and to his left, Giulianna (23). All three are Mosso Larraguibel, and their closeness in age makes them look like a compact triangle, a mechanism in which each piece finds its place.

The scene has something cinematic: three young people in front of the symbol of their history, surrounded by a design that imposes standards of the highest precision. Even so, there is something about them that softens the solemnity: that inevitable freshness of those who are beginning to write their own version of the family’s future.
Emiliana in Mendoza: justice and legacy
Far from there, in Mendoza, the eldest sister — Emiliana Mosso Cordero— works as a lawyer. She is 32 years old and received her degree six years ago. She enjoys the formality of the profession and says it without irony: “I love going to hearings well dressed, image matters”.
In the Mosso family, the four siblings move forward in different directions. “Each one is finding their path, their area,” she explains. “And that’s great because we don’t step on each other. Each one grows from their own place”. This year she began working alongside Alex, the lawyer who has accompanied her father “for many years.” There is an intimate gesture at play: her father studied law in Argentina and left some courses unfinished. She closed that family chapter and turned it into a profession.

Santiago: the core of movement
In Santiago, the company sounds and feels different. We first sit down with Giulianna, with long, light hair and a transparent gaze. The conversation moves toward an inevitable territory: what it is like, from within, to grow up in a prestigious business family.
She knows she represents a standard and a way of doing things. That is why she has rotated through different learning areas. “I’ve been working for five years. I started in sales, then spent some time on brands, and now I’m in marketing, where I handle events and coordination. I like it because I can show what the company is; today, if it’s not communicated well on social media, it’s hard for people to value everything behind it.”
She feels proud of what her family has achieved. That innovation, which for her is about creating something different, she translates into: “The manufacturing process, the quality of the materials, the service, the attention, and our own designs (…) that combination is one of the fundamental values of the brand,” she explains.

He formado gente nueva y eso me encanta”
"I like ensuring the best experience for clients and working with teams. I have trained new people, and I love that"
MARINA MOSSO
Beside her is Marina. Industrial civil engineering has trained her to think in terms of causes, effects, and structures; that is why, when she answers, she goes straight to the point.
“My contribution lately has been technological and linked to watchmaking with complications. Engineering helps me better understand manufacturing and explain it to clients. We have also modernized communication: we implemented CRM (Customer Relationship Management), automated processes, and strengthened digital channels. Since the pandemic, that has become essential,” she says.
He formado gente nueva y eso me encanta.
And then she adds: “I see myself in the commercial area. I like ensuring the best experience for clients and working with teams. I have trained new people, and I love that. I’ve been in the company for six years: I started in events, then sales, and later moved into my current role.”
Tito speaks next, with a different tone. While his sisters speak from practice and structure, he does so from history. For him, the family’s prestige is tied to an inspiring narrative.

“History intersects with the making of jewelry and watches since the earliest civilizations. The first relevant mechanical watches were those of Blancpain; then Breguet; and brands like Jaeger-LeCoultre created pieces such as the Atmos, a clock that works with temperature variations and does not require winding for centuries,” explains Tito.
For him, having grown up in a prestigious business family means living, from a young age, surrounded by stories of manufacturing, calibers, travel, suppliers, challenges, and achievements. It means understanding that the surname carries weight, but also a promise. And what is expected of him is not to repeat, but to continue.
“I hope each of us can grow in our area and fulfill future objectives: expand, internationalize, leave a personal mark within the company”
ERNESTO MOSSO JR

Tito has been in the company for two years and is also motivated by the future: “I hope each of us can grow in our area and fulfill future objectives: expand, internationalize, leave a personal mark within the company”. In his case, he is clear that his contribution lies in “communicating the story of each Swiss watch brand we carry, thus highlighting our essence”.
The daily commitment of all of them comes from having seen, since childhood, how something was built that today not only provides jobs, but also carries the surname they themselves bear. Working there, then, is not just holding a position: it is entering a narrative that began before and that, in some way, is now being entrusted to them.

When asked what a piece of jewelry or a watch means, the Mosso siblings speak more about ways of seeing. “Jewelry enhances identity. I always explain to clients that jewelry has the ability to make them shine and feel special. That’s what we seek: to enhance beauty and identity,” says Giulianna.
Marina, meanwhile, speaks about how these objects endure over time: “Once I assisted a grandmother who transformed her gold jewelry into six necklaces for her granddaughters, with their initials and the family crest. The following year she passed away, and the granddaughters still come in for maintenance. Each time, we remember their grandmother. It’s very special to accompany those moments and see how the jewelry becomes part of someone’s story”.
When Tito speaks, he explains: “These are items someone can give themselves upon reaching personal milestones, or interests of collectors. There are various markets in watchmaking, but what distinguishes Swiss high watchmaking are the finishes, precision, and superior mechanisms”.

MOSSO ACHIEVES CARBON NEUTRALITY: THE HIGH VALUE OF BEING SUSTAINABLE
The advancement of traceability and environmental restoration is redefining production standards in Chile. In this context, MOSSO has become an industry example of how a company can transform its craft to integrate luxury, ethics, and regeneration—creating and enhancing the value of unique pieces.

In the world of luxury, where every detail matters and each decision reflects a stance, sustainability is no longer an accessory concept but an essential value. In industries such as jewelry, fashion and cosmetics, integrating responsible practices not only improves environmental impact, it also enhances the final product and gives it meaning that transcends aesthetics. Beauty gains greater depth when it is also responsible.
One of the sectors where this shift is evident is jewelry. MOSSO, the Chilean luxury brand, has for years operated with ethical standards in sourcing its raw materials. As Marina Mosso explains, sustainability is not an accessory, it is the foundation. “A sustainable and environmentally ethical model for the extraction of precious metals can ensure traceability, origin and a lower impact on the territory,” she explains.

The company works with certified suppliers, prioritizes the efficient use of materials in its workshops and has implemented internal processes to reduce waste. These kinds of practices, which were exceptional a decade ago, are now becoming part of standard expectations.
“Chile must move forward simultaneously in reducing emissions, capturing carbon, and adapting to the impacts of the climate crisis”

MOSSO and its Commitment to Ecosystem Restoration
But traceability is not the only front. On a national level, Chile has committed to stricter climate goals. According to Gonzalo Muñoz, High-Level Champion of the UN for Climate Action COP25, the country must advance simultaneously in emissions reduction, carbon capture and adaptation to the impacts of the climate crisis.
In this context, MOSSO has achieved carbon neutrality, advancing toward a net-zero operating model by certifying the offset of its CO₂ emissions for the years 2024 and 2025. In addition to this compensation through carbon credits, the company has incorporated environmental regeneration projects into its strategy.
One of the key pillars for this is ecosystem restoration. Since 2023, the company has worked with the Miyawaki method, a technique developed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, which is based on planting native species at high density to accelerate forest formation. Unlike traditional reforestation models, these “microforests” can grow up to ten times faster, increasing local biodiversity, improving soil quality and capturing carbon dioxide in shorter periods.
These initiatives are part of a broader context. The advance of international legislation —such as mandatory sustainability reporting in the European Union— is pushing Chilean companies to anticipate new requirements. The same is happening with trade agreements, which in recent years have included environmental standards as part of their technical conditions. For exporters, manufacturers and luxury brands, meeting these criteria is now a prerequisite for accessing certain markets.
Consultants and academics agree that the shift toward sustainable practices will be a key factor in future competitiveness. International reports indicate that companies integrating environmental and social criteria improve their ability to access financing, retain talent and respond to more complex climate scenarios.

For creative and luxury industries such as jewelry or fashion, the impact of this transformation is directly reflected in perceived value. Today, a responsible product is not just a response to the climate crisis, it is a feature that defines its competitiveness in increasingly attentive and demanding markets.
In this context, sustainability is not an isolated differentiator, but a growing component of business operations. Companies that manage to integrate these criteria in a cross-cutting way will be better positioned to face regulatory, climate and consumer changes in the coming years. And in doing so, they will contribute to a larger goal: to build a productive system capable of generating value without compromising the territory it depends on.
A PHILANTHROPIST FROM THE SOUTHERN TIP OF THE WORLD
Granddaughter of Eliana Falabella and Alberto Solari, Francisca Cortés Solari is part of the family that founded Falabella, one of the largest retail companies in Chile and Latin America. While honoring her family’s entrepreneurial legacy, Francisca has taken on an international leadership role as the founder of Filantropía Cortés Solari, promoting a model that supports not only the conservation of natural heritage but also culture and social fabric.

One night during a visit to Japan, Francisca Cortés Solari had a dream. She was walking on a dock when whales began to approach her, watching her as they fed. Reaching a beach, she saw a dead shark with its fin missing. This dream marked the beginning of her path in conservation. “It was like the whales entered my dream and wanted me to see something” she says.
During that same trip, Francisca visited Fukushima, a city recently devastated by a nuclear disaster following a magnitude 9 earthquake and a tsunami. She also toured markets across the country. “That trip opened something in me. I came back to Chile with that idea, and we acquired land in Patagonia” she recalls.
One of her first goals was to open the field of science and connect it with different disciplines. “Blue whales were my first conservation focus and from there our research began. Later we expanded and began to address the threats in the Gulf of Corcovado related to the impact on whales.”

The Gulf of Corcovado is critical to the conservation of blue whales due to the abundance of krill, the key component of their diet. However, the area’s heavy boat traffic has become a major threat due to the risk of collisions and the noise pollution from engines, which causes hearing damage and interferes with whale communication.
In August 2020, Fundación MERI —one of the organizations within Filantropía Cortés Solari— published a groundbreaking study estimating the economic value of a whale based on its role in the ecosystem. Led by IMF economist Ralph Chami, the research estimated that a blue whale in Chile is worth over four million dollars.
“It’s not just an economic value, but we felt it was important to include it. When you avoid harming a whale, you create positive effects. That should also translate into benefits for shipping companies or those operating in areas where whal es live” says Francisca.
The journey of the Cachalote
The study of whales in Corcovado sparked a new question in Francisca’s mind. What is the cultural relationship between Chile and the sea? “We are a people of the sea, we are a country of the sea, we come from the sea. Our history and identity arrived by sea” she says.
Eager to learn more about maritime culture, Francisca explored southern Chile, especially the island of Chiloé, where she met artisans who build wooden boats using ancestral techniques passed down through generations. This inspired Cachalote, a vessel that blends tradition and innovation, and which in November 2025 was awarded The Honours, the world’s highest recognition in maritime sustainability and innovation —known as the "Nobel of the Sea."

Cachalote is a yacht built entirely on the island of Chiloé by the shipyard Navik Chile. It combines engines, sails and variable pitch propellers to significantly reduce fuel consumption. From the beginning, the design incorporated solar panels across most of the deck, reinforcing the commitment to clean energy. It also includes acoustic reduction technology and sensors to avoid collisions with marine life.
“Cachalote came about because through our whale research in Corcovado I knew what the problems were. When we built it I wanted to solve those problems — from noise to shape, surface texture, energy use, solar panels— every detail was designed to minimize environmental impact.”
In addition to The Honours, Cachalote received the Explorer Award during Monaco Ocean Week 2024 and holds the SEA INDEX certification for low CO₂ emissions.

Conserving ancestral memory
For Francisca, Cachalote is not only about nature conservation but about preserving Chilean cultural memory. This vision also guides the work of Filantropía Cortés Solari, especially in southern Chile, where they focus on recovering the memory of Indigenous communities.
The Chonos once navigated the channels between Chiloé Archipelago and the Taitao Peninsula. The Kawésqar lived between the Gulf of Penas and the Strait of Magellan. The Yaghan people lived on the islands south of Tierra del Fuego. The arrival of settlers and maritime routes drastically reduced these populations, forcing them to abandon their sea-based lives.
In Tierra del Fuego, the Selk’nam people were almost entirely exterminated by settlers during the late 19th-century sheep farming boom.

Francisca sought to repatriate these photographs from France, where they were held by publisher Xavier Barral.
“It’s very different to be a custodian than to be an owner. I am a custodian of many things, more than an owner. I also look after three parks”

Francisca sought to repatriate these photographs from France, where they were held by publisher Xavier Barral. “We were in the process of reconstructing these peoples’ memory. That’s when we acquired photographs. It marked a milestone. The day we signed the agreement with Xavier Barral, he passed away that night. His dream was for the photos to return to Chile” she recalls.
Since 2019, Filantropía Cortés Solari has safeguarded the 151 photographs from that archive. “The photos could have ended up with anyone. Why did they come to me? It means something. It’s a responsibility. You are a custodian, not an owner.”

When telling her story, Francisca radiates energy, revealing the inner strength behind her philanthropic path. “To do philanthropy, I need income, so I am also a businesswoman” she states, then adds “But I chose this cause. It takes much of my time and that’s more valuable than money.”
Francisca has not only given time, resources and passion to the causes she leads —she has given her identity. “It’s important for leaders to step up. I’ve often been asked why I chose to be public. The truth is that it was a conscious decision when I created Filantropía Cortés Solari. I chose to go out into the world because what we do is an example. When you put your name on something, you put your life, your children, your family.”

After facing the crisis of turning 50, the well-known artist is searching for new paths. The figure that was always present in her work —“the character,” as she calls it— and that represented herself is no longer there. “I am looking for a solution that has not yet arrived,” she explains, as she begins to explore, for the first time, the world of abstraction.

Catalina Abbott seems the same as always. She still has a studio in Vitacura, near Paseo El Mañío, her lifelong neighborhood; she continues painting and her work maintains the colorfulness and expressiveness that made her known in the 90s and 2000s. She also continues to radiate warmth and spontaneity. She even keeps the same haircut —a fringe bob— which, she admits, she has worn since she was a child.
But something has changed. In her and in her work. And because of that, she says, she no longer wants to be “Cata Abbott”: now she signs as Catalina Abbott, in full. And while her previous work is sold in online galleries such as Kunst or Galería Chilena, her new work is part of Minimal, the space created by the former team of Tomás Andreu at Galería Animal.

In the garden of her studio, holding a cigarette she does not light, she explains that this shift began when she faced the well-known crisis of turning 50, a stage in which many question what their life has been up to that point.
Abbott began as a graphic designer, a career she studied at Universidad del Pacífico. For about a decade she worked in agencies, was a producer in magazines, and had a small business. Meanwhile, she painted wherever and whenever she could: napkins, notebooks, and even “the blank parts of art books” served as surfaces, before moving on to canvas and paper. Then came her first solo exhibition in the early 90s at Galería La Sala, which was a resounding success. Everything had sold even before she arrived at the opening. Later she exhibited in Paris, London, and Miami.
—In that exhibition at La Sala my “character” was born, which in a way led me to glory. This drawing that repeated itself was me in different situations; that’s why some were more colorful and others a bit darker. Life was passing with its ups and downs and that was always reflected in my painting. But people bought the work for its color; they did not see this character, sometimes a bit suffering or tormented. They did not know what was behind each work and I never explained it much either, out of fear that they would not like it if they knew the reality. Then the “character” ended up being everywhere and creating controversy. Painter friends would ask me when I was going to move on to the next stage. Until, close to turning 50, I started to think that I had to step out of my work. And I stopped painting for more than a year.

During those twelve months without painting, Catalina maintained the line, allowing herself at least to keep drawing for herself. Later, she found in digital printmaking a new way of working. She liked it —“there was no mess, everything was clean,” she explains— but the discomfort persisted.
—I ended up creating more than 500, with limited editions, and everything sold. But the character was still there. It was terrible because if I removed it, the work had little acceptance, even with the same colors. On the contrary, if I included it, even just with a few lines, interest tripled. So, I felt that I wanted to leave it, but I couldn’t. And the character bothered me so much that I had nightmares about it.
—The pressure to maintain your character was very high, even though it had already completed its cycle.
—I held on to it a bit. But I suffered. People did not understand that the character was me. Sometimes an interior designer would come and tell me: add a bit pinker. And that was like a slap to me, because that painting had those colors because that was my emotion and my feeling. My work can be decorative, but that does not mean I will make paintings “to match.” Once I made a painting after a hysterectomy I had to undergo, and they thought what I had painted to represent the uterus was a surfboard and it fit for them because the work was for the beach. They wanted me to change the colors and I refused. I lost a big sale, but I felt at peace.
—How have you managed to leave behind that figure so central to your work?
—It has involved a complicated, arduous, frustrating, difficult investigation. But it is what makes me get up every day, to search for a resolution that has not yet arrived. This investigation, she explains, is a path toward abstraction. A path, until now, unexplored for her.
—Making an abstract painting is the hardest thing there is. Space, color, light must speak. Abstraction is a more reflective and difficult form of painting. When there is nothing, there is a void. And I want to face that void, in the bravest way I can, even if it is suffering for now.
—Why?
—It is my most mature side, now without my father. I was like a little girl with him. I am an extremely emotional person; I live surfing a wave. My emotions completely take over me, both joy and sadness, fear. Everything is very intense in me. The void too, and it is there to be filled, now without that super youth. It is about discovering who I really am, only now at this age. Nowadays I seek not to have problems with anyone, not to fight. I have fought enough. I used to have a more confrontational character.

—That would be quite a change. —I like to challenge myself, to make things difficult.
Her personal life has also undergone an important shift, led by a new protagonist: the garden. For a couple of years now, she has had, together with her husband, an architect by profession, a house by the sea where she spends her time planting, watering, pruning. In fact, there are practically none of her paintings on those walls, but rather botanical illustrations.
—People say that I am an artist all the time, but no. I love all beauty and I do other things as well. I like decoration and the garden: there I also find creation. It is as if in that house there were no problems, no sadness, no loneliness. There I spend all day in the garden, barefoot, in shorts. It is like going back to childhood: I climb trees, dig holes, I am completely dirty.
In between, she paints three-dimensional figures of virgins, which can be seen on her Instagram account.
—They have always gone alongside my pictorial work —she concludes—. They relate to my faith, but also to the sense of calm they give me when I paint them. It is a sweeter, more tender work, because many of my paintings are visually more intense, they have another energy. Even if I use strong colors, just painting a virgin takes me to another world. It is my rest, because painting leaves me exhausted. It is a constant battle.

"Abstraction is a more reflective and difficult type of painting. When there's nothing, it's a void. And i want to face that void."

Chilean, but based in New York, he is for many the most outstanding and cosmopolitan of Chilean designers. In addition to creating objects — many of them commissioned by world-famous clients—, he is a company director, a coach for CEOs, and the author of a book on artificial intelligence.
SEBASTIÁN ERRÁZURIZ, DESIGNER AND MUCH MORE: “I’M AN ODDBALL”

Bonita.
Beautiful. That is the word chosen by Sebastián Errázuriz to describe the connection he felt with Ernesto Mosso when they met, at the end of last year.Errázuriz grew up in London and lives in New York, where he leads a successful life as a designer. But in those days, he was passing through Chile to participate in a conversation about artificial intelligence, a subject he addresses in his book Imagine Artificial General Intelligence. 100% Human Ideas.
—We spoke a couple of times, and I felt that we connected a lot. I am extremely logical, but I function through more existential ideas. I bet everything on ideas that may not be the ones immediately related to money or power. I think that’s where I connect with Ernesto, although he is guided more by emotions and intuitions —says Sebastián on the other side of Zoom from his New York studio, dressed in a black shirt. Behind him, there is a black wall as well. The image conveys the same thing as his designs: precision.
—Design also unites you. The love of aesthetics.
—I think so, but that is secondary. Errázuriz studied design at PUC and has a Master of Fine Arts from NYU. At 28 years old, he became the second living South American artist to sell his work at Sotheby’s. He has made lamps with taxidermized birds; he has created 3D-printed sculptures in which Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, and Jeff Bezos appear as Roman gods; he has created furniture inspired by a porcupine. He works with the gallery thirty8east, where there are also works by Warhol and Magritte, and until August he is exhibiting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. In 2010 he won the award for best Chilean designer and last year the Collab Design Excellence Award.
He works on commission, according to what he says, for people such as “the richest man in India” or “one of the top leaders in artificial intelligence in the world”. But in this conversation of more than an hour, it is difficult to get him to talk about design. For him, it is ultimately just one more expression of his mind, inhabited by parallel worlds.

—Today I am an artist, I am a designer, but in addition I can write a book, I give talks around the world about artificial intelligence, I sit on company boards, I do coaching for managers. I’m an oddball —he explains.
—Is design a framework for everything you do?
—They are parallel channels and they do not interrelate, but there is a constant: asking why. Why does a chair have to have four legs, or a shelf flat horizontal boards? I like questioning paradigms and finding other ways to solve problems.
—When creating, what are you looking for?
—To invite people to look again. In every work of mine there is always an idea that ideally has not been expressed that way before. Ideally, you should never know whether it was created by a Brazilian, a Japanese, or a Dane. Or whether it is from 1940, 1970, 2000, or today.

—Why?
—I follow methods, processes, and challenges that I impose on myself so I do not get bored and so I try to make artworks that I feel are worth existing. So that I do not look at them tomorrow and dislike them. It seems simpler and more basic to me to reflect the fashion of the moment. If you look at designs from the 60s, or from the 2000s, they have certain color palettes, certain shapes that belong to their moment, and generally they do not age well. Today, the easiest thing is to find an AI that recreates any aesthetic. Aesthetics are easy. But for AI to generate a new idea that resists the passage of time, distilled in its utmost simplicity, and that has never been seen before, requires much more complexity.
—¿No te cansa?
—Has ganado muchos premios.
Errázuriz works on up to 40 projects simultaneously. He has “a small team” that he supervises as if he were in a chess demonstration, the kind in which one move is made across 30 boards in parallel. “My life is designed to keep me at that maximum efficiency”, he explains.
—Doesn’t that tire you?
—No, because my level of freedom is perhaps greater than that of the vast majority of people. I allow myself at any moment to follow a bet or a preference, but that in turn is extremely thought out.
—You have won many awards. What do they mean to you?
—It is the minimum. I have won competitions my whole life and, at the same time, I am used to not being understood. Naturally it is a great source of pride, and it is very satisfying to win them, but my interest is to be the best always, not just for one year, even if that sounds arrogant. I think of highperformance athletes: their goal is to be the best, and we celebrate that everything in their life, from diet to partner, revolves around that objective. But we never think that way in relation to the arts. There, it is never expected that someone would speak frankly about the dream of aspiring to be the best, of moving the bar in relation to what has been done before.

“My life is designed to keep me at that maximum efficiency”
100% human ideas

Errázuriz has been obsessed with AI for more than a decade. He believes that “no one is looking at the meteor that is coming”, although he acknowledges that he uses it. Not to create, but as an extension of his brain. For example, when he was called to join the board of a hotel company, he began to “study” the company and its market using AI. That allowed him to think about what changes to suggest.
—Even so, in your book you speak of “100% human ideas.”
—That is a phrase I used to put at the end of some videos years ago. It is like a 100% organic certificate. I am getting ahead of the idea that what is made by a human is going to have value, even though it will be more expensive and less efficient. I try to make sure that the area of ideas continues to be originated by me, but not the production; that is why it says “100% human ideas” and not “100% human”.
—Faced with AI, are you optimistic or pessimistic?
—At this moment AI can write an essay based on all preexisting essays and it will be high quality, but it still cannot write the perfect novel. For now, it is as if I had more IQ points and a perfect memory, or a group of tutors plugging all their knowledge into my head. Human values are behind it, but that is temporary. The amount of time in which we will continue to be more intelligent is short.
—How much, do you think?
—Ten years maximum. A very hard crisis is coming. And the speed at which this is going to happen will make multiple countries move toward communism or toward fascism. They will become more authoritarian.
—In that catastrophic scenario, the piece of furniture you place in your house has value again. What do you do?
—As inequality is going to grow, that is real for those of us in the luxury world.
—For you, what defines a luxury object as such?
—It is a representation of the highest level one can reach. I, for example, have worked for three years with the watch brand Audemars Piguet, one of the top brands in the world. And when one buys a watch, one is not buying an object that tells the time, but a symbol. Partly of status, but also of ingenuity and human engineering. Because watches and their complications are not achieved in one generation, they are achieved over multiple generations. And they are achieved at levels in which sometimes even the experts can barely understand the mechanism upon the mechanism upon the mechanism. That constant act of reaching the highest level possible is what one finds in a three-Michelin-star restaurant. There is no reason whatsoever why we should eat 12 different dishes with 12 different wines and for each dish to be tiny. But there is pleasure in taking wine, food, the combination of both, the service, the space, to the maximum of their expression.
—Along that path, what role does the search for beauty play?
—It is one more element. There are scientists who speak of a mathematical equation having beauty because it is the expression of something that remains stable when nothing is stable. For others, beauty is bone geometry that represents health and strength. Beauty is the representation of a series of variables, and that speaks of sharpening the senses. One of the wonderful things about living in a city like New York is that one is constantly sharpening one’s own. You get to work with people at the highest intellectual level, with the highest level of wealth, and, consequently, the highest level of aesthetic refinement.

THE JOURNEY TO BEAUTY
With a client schedule that opens only every three months, the clinic of this business engineer, professional makeup artist, cosmetologist, and entrepreneur has been a success, thanks to its focus on “helping people feel comfortable in their own skin.”

When Javiera Zaror —a UDD business engineer and owner of the center that bears her name— underwent a laser procedure to improve the appearance of her skin, she had a bad experience. Her skin began to develop melasma, dark spots that arise from increased melanin production.
At first, she relied on one of her passions: makeup. She had taken a professional course in Barcelona — “I always liked the idea of getting ready, of looking good,” she explains— and thanks to that she knew how to “camouflage” those spots. Until one day she decided to study cosmetology to “help people feel comfortable in their own skin.”
At the beginning, she worked on Luis Pasteur Street. Her practice was always fully booked, which motivated her to open her clinic in a building on Rafael Maluenda Street, in Vitacura.
Her first idea was to create an aesthetic center with doctors and dermatological equipment, but she realized she preferred to offer a less invasive service with a better client experience. “I like the idea of beautiful skin, well hydrated, luminous, but with its wrinkles, because that’s normal,” she explains. She has done so well that she opens her schedule only once every three months. At the same time, she created an e-commerce where she offers high-end dermo cosmetic products, to make the business profitable and not have everything depend —literally— on her own hands. Today she attends personally, in addition to having a team, and frequently travels to bring in the new technologies for which she has become known.
Her sister Francisca Zaror is her partner. “Working with Javi means putting into practice all the values that as a family and sisters have always united us: respect, trust, and empathy,” she says proudly. “Javiera focuses on areas such as finance, always looking for new opportunities; I contribute with my creative side and marketing. The fact that she is a business engineer and I am an advertiser creates a perfect balance to bring out the best in each of us. We both do what we love, and that’s why we take such good care of our space, where we invite people to pause and connect with themselves.”
“Our value proposition is to make you feel good, to listen to you and make personalized recommendations.”
The clinic stands out for the high-level services it offers, as well as for its carefully curated ambiance. There are sculptures by Ignacio Gana, as well as works by Guillermo Lorca. They are for sale, because for Javiera it is key to building partnerships and collaborating. Clients —mostly women over 40— are pampered with small details, such as coffee, nuts, a one-bite chocolate. Everything is always very elegant.
“Our value proposition is to make you feel good, to listen to you and make personalized recommendations, not to suggest things you don’t need and never to pressure a purchase,” adds Javiera, who turns 31 in April and is proud of what she has achieved. Behind her success, she says, are key values within her family. “We mentor each other a lot, with the knowledge each one has. Fran with the more human side; my mom with the feminine side. Pablo with the more business- oriented side, my dad with his work, work, work mentality. He taught me that business lies in the purchase of supplies, more than in the retail price. Don’t fight with the end customer, fight with the supplier.”
Along with further expanding her clinic, Javiera would one day like to develop her own cosmetic product. She can’t reveal much, but she gives us a hint: it will be a crossover between makeup and skincare. Something with glow and luminosity, that revitalizes the skin. She is also considering developing a hair product or a supplement. She is already in talks with an international laboratory. When it comes to pursuing dreams, nothing can stop Javiera!

After two years of meticulous work, MOSSO unveils a unique new space in Latin America, where tradition and innovation come together to pay tribute to fine watchmaking.
On the evening of October 28, MOSSO boutique on Luis Pasteur welcomed over 200 guests, including collectors, specialized journalists, clients and brand representatives. The occasion? The grand opening of a space dedicated to exclusivity and haute horlogerie: MOSSO Watches & Brands. It is the first shop-in-shop of its kind in Chile and Latin America, where the passion for horological artistry is celebrated with the highest standards in the region.

“Today we inaugurate something very special, seen in only a few places around the world, and how wonderful it is to be surrounded by friends. That is something truly appreciated. This new space is the result of years of work alongside the brands we represent and is a rare opportunity made possible by the Chilean market,” said Ernesto Mosso, accompanied by his wife and three of their four children during the long-awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony.

LIFESTYLE AND LUXURY COME TOGETHER AT MOSSO HOUSE

“It is a new concept much more focused on younger people. A more open space where you can feel completely at home. You come to live the MOSSO experience".

Personalized and close service
Personalized service is another key pillar of the project. “The experiences that create value are related to how we serve our clients. We never want to lose that personal connection. We want you to come to sit down, enjoy a coffee and talk about what you are looking for. We are here to guide you and broaden your vision” says Eduardo Parry.
MOSSO House will feature a full display of products from top tier brands such as Omega Hublot TAG Heuer Cartier and of course MOSSO which will present its watches jewelry and accessories including scarves and handbags.

THE STORY OF PORSCHE COMES TO LIFE WITH THE OPENING OF MOSSO 911 COLLECTION CLUB
The largest collection of Porsche objects in the world will open its doors in Santiago, Chile. The exhibition, which will rotate constantly, will trace the history of the brand in a space that aims to become a meeting point for motorsport and luxury enthusiasts.
Inside the garage of his home in Santiago, Daniel Necker houses the largest collection of Porsche memorabilia in the world. The room displays eight vehicles, most of them Porsche 911s, the iconic model whose silhouette defined the brand forever. Alongside them are two Porsche 356s, the first production cars built by the company. All are painted blue, Daniel’s favorite color. “What makes the 911 special is that it has always maintained the same design. They have remained faithful to it with every new model. That is tradition,” says Necker.
Suspended above the cars, electric versions of Porsche models designed for children hang from the ceiling. Among them, a bright yellow child-sized Porsche 911 Carrera stands out, dominating the space. The walls are lined with glass cases displaying hundreds of miniature models.
Recently, the garage has been filled with dark gray plastic boxes stacked in every corner. Inside them, carefully labeled in plastic bags, objects from the collection await their transfer to their new home: 911 Collection Club, which will open in 2026 on Nueva Costanera next to MOSSO House.

“I think this started when I was a child, cutting out photos from Porsche calendars and framing them because I didn’t have money at the time. Little by little I began buying things, without a clear direction, just to have something. Today, this is the largest motorsport collection in the world,” says Necker.
Today, the collection includes everything from scale cars, helmets, scarves, ties, toys and posters, to even a red tractor that stands out in the garage. Each object is catalogued in a record of more than 870 pages, including nearly 8,000 photographs with their corresponding descriptions. A museumworthy archive that reflects the more than 32,000 hours of work Daniel has dedicated to his collection.
Of all the objects, the most special for Daniel is a silver car displayed in a bar at the entrance of the garage. It is signed and came into his possession when it was auctioned by the children of its previous owner. “It was given by Ferdinand Porsche’s son, Ferry Porsche, in 1962 to about six drivers of that time. It is a work of art,” he says.

No diferenciamos”, aclara Necker.
From a Garage to the Public Eye
911 Collection Club is much more than an exhibition of Porsche objects. Its ambition is to become a space for gathering and conversation. “We want people to come in and not want to leave. What we offer is an experience: stories and entertainment. You don’t just come to eat, you come to enjoy yourself, and that’s what we are going to guarantee.”
While Porsche and its history will be the central focus, the space seeks to create a community that brings together enthusiasts of motorsport and luxury cars. “I want to make it clear that this is not a place exclusively for Porsche. Those who love cars—Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren—are all warmly invited. We don’t differentiate,” Necker explains.
911 Collection Club will operate through a membership system, with a maximum of 911 members. “Each member pays an annual fee and receives various benefits, such as discounts on drinks and beverages, as well as on MOSSO jewelry. They will also be able to host events such as birthdays and others.” The club will be integrated into MOSSO House, offering a unique experience in the country, where the history of Porsche will merge with a curated selection of watches, jewelry, and luxury accessories available at MOSSO. “Watches and cars combine very well. It’s a natural mix. What we are offering does not exist,” Daniel concludes.
No diferenciamos”.

2026 will mark a new rhythm for MOSSO, with an impactful calendar of openings and contemporary spaces that accompany the evolution of fine watchmaking in the city at the end of the world.
MOSSO INAUGURATES THE NEW ERA OF LUXURY IN SANTIAGO

The first half of 2026 will be a period full of new developments and will mark the beginning of a new stage of luxury in Santiago de Chile, with a series of openings and reopenings driven by MOSSO, marking the evolution of its spaces dedicated to fine watchmaking and jewelry with Swiss watch brands.
The Chilean firm has driven a modernization of the value proposition of its spaces in the main exclusive hubs of the capital, such as Audemars Piguet in Nueva Costanera —the only one in Chile and the third in Latin America—, Omega in the luxury district in Parque Arauco, Rolex in MOSSO’s headquarters located on Luis Pasteur, and the expansion in the Mall Alto Las Condes.
More than an architectural update, the projects respond to a strategic vision: to transform points of sale into spaces capable of reflecting the universe of each brand and offering an increasingly personalized shopping experience.
In this context, the Chilean jewelry company seeks to consolidate its positioning as one of the main references in fine watchmaking retail, accompanying the evolution of the local market alongside the new expectations of collectors and clients in the premium segment. “It is no longer just about selling watches, but about conveying the complete universe of the brand through space, design, and service,” explains Eduardo Parry, Project Director at MOSSO.
In this regard, Parry adds that “brands such as Rolex, Omega, or Audemars Piguet seek spaces that exactly reflect their identity, as well as to generate value in each of their shopping experiences, and for us it is very important to develop different shopping experiences for each of the brands we represent.”
This, Parry explains, implies incorporating private areas that allow for an even more exclusive service, as well as environments designed so that the client can explore the collections with greater serenity.

150M2 OF PURE LUXURY: AUDEMARS PIGUET POSITIONS ONE OF THE 15 PRESTIGIOUS AP HOUSE IN SANTIAGO DE CHILE
The corner of Nueva Costanera and Alonso Monroy, in Vitacura, has become one of the most select luxury spots in the capital following the arrival of one of the most relevant high watchmaking houses in the world, Audemars Piguet.
The Santiago de Chile boutique —represented by MOSSO and inaugurated on March 17 of this year— is one of the 15 key locations that the Swiss firm has prioritized to deliver a fully personalized experience to its clients. Along with the spaces in Buenos Aires and Mexico City, they are the three existing in Latin America. Other notable locations include London, Madrid, Barcelona, San Bartolomé, Tel Aviv, Zurich, Milan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, New York, and Los Angeles.

In an area where tradition and innovation coexist in a delicate balance, Audemars Piguet has managed not only to position itself, but also to remain one of the most influential currents in high-end watchmaking. Since its origin in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland in 1875, the company —still controlled by the founding families— has cultivated an identity marked by family independence, technical experimentation, and designs that challenge the conventions of classic luxury, through ancestral craftsmanship and contemporary culture, attracting younger audiences.
With 150 m² distributed over two levels and underground access, AP House Santiago prioritizes the warm and sophisticated materiality iconic to the Swiss firm, where wood and pink bronze add texture and character to the space, with special attention to detail, especially in the VIP area.
For architect Thomas Illge, responsible for materializing MOSSO’s different projects, architecture plays a key role in making the Audemars Piguet boutique a meeting point between design, sophistication, and high-level hospitality. “The proposal is based on creating an intimate atmosphere, where lighting and materiality —with wood and other noble surfaces taking center stage— bring quality and balance to the space. The result is a serene and secure environment, conceived so that the client can discover the pieces in an atmosphere of comfort, privacy, and refinement”.
In Alto Las Condes, the MOSSO Jewelry boutique will showcase a new staging, doubling its surface area from 75 to 150 m².
One of the central elements of the redesign is the watch bar, becoming a meeting point for enthusiasts and collectors, allowing them to closely explore the technical and aesthetic details of each watch while receiving specialized advice on each collection. This format is increasingly present in high-watchmaking boutiques worldwide, as it allows for a deeper connection with the client, the piece, and the story behind each brand.
Materiality will play a central role in this proposal: Pigués marble, travertine, and steel will coexist with white marble floors and oak wood to create an elegant and contemporary atmosphere, where architecture accompanies the experience of high watchmaking.
“We have generated a much more dynamic distribution within MOSSO,” adds Illge.
+MOSSO IN ALTO LAS

According to Eduardo Parry, the experience in this store will allow the client, despite being in the same place, to clearly notice the differences between the unique environments dedicated to each company, such as Tudor, Cartier, Omega, Oris, Hamilton, and Longines, among others, in addition to its own jewelry and watch creations.
“Both in architectural design and lighting, as well as personalized attention for each of the pieces from the brands we work with, will provide the opportunity to explore special pieces and complete collections in order to reach what the client truly wants,” he adds.
THE SOBRIETY AND ELEGANCE OF ROLEX IN LUIS PASTEUR

MOSSO’s watchmakers have been trained directly by Rolex, guaranteeing excellence in the handling and care of the watches. The firm is recognized for having established many of the standards that today define modern watches.

OMEGA RENEWS ITS SPACE IN PARQUE ARAUCO

Since 2013 and in the heart of Parque Arauco, one of the main luxury retail hubs in the capital, the Omega boutique presents itself as a space dedicated to exploring the tradition, innovation, and design that have defined another of the Swiss watchmaking houses of excellence for more than a century and a half.
Founded in 1848, Omega occupied a singular position within the history of watchmaking. Over the decades, the brand has developed technical advances that today form part of the backbone of the industry.
“The environment required to feel comfortable and where the client experience is directed is for them to completely disconnect from what is happening outside.”
THOMAS ILLGE
The 42 m² boutique located in the “Luxury District” in Parque Arauco seeks precisely to translate that legacy into a tangible experience for visitors. During the first months of this year, it will undergo a refresh. “The environment required to feel comfortable and where the client experience is directed is for them to completely disconnect from what is happening outside,” describes Illge.
The space will feature a new nine-meter façade, with details of glass, wood, and marble.
In this type of boutique, the customer journey is perceived as an invitation to discover the trajectory and avant-garde of the watchmaking house through its most emblematic collections. The arrangement of showcases, lighting, and selected materials aim to create an environment that reflects the values of precision, innovation, and elegance that distinguish Omega within the industry.
Thus, this space becomes more than just a place to acquire a watch: it is a gateway into the universe of a brand whose history has been marked by the constant pursuit of technical excellence.

PASSION FOR POLO AT THE MOSSO–HUBLOT CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
More than ten years of history unite MOSSO and Hublot through polo. In its 2025 edition, this championship once again brought together sport, lifestyle and a community that shares a passion for horses, equestrian tradition and the values of two luxury brands deeply connected to this world.

The relationship between MOSSO and polo is a story of more than 25 years of passion for the sport and horse breeding. A connection that is expressed today in the 2025 edition of the MOSSO–Hublot Championship, an event that represents the union between this sport and the lifestyle proposed by these luxury brands.
“Throughout its history, MOSSO has organized several important championships and activities to remain connected to the world of polo. From this, brands that see polo as an attractive sport to support and develop, such as Hublot, have become interested. We have had a relationship with them for more than 10 years. We have carried out numerous tournaments and client experiences, always linked to the world of polo,” says Eduardo Parry, Project Director at MOSSO.

The 2025 MOSSO–Hublot Championship took place at Santa María Polo in a three-date format between November and December. As in previous editions, teams were formed by players who, in addition to competing, are fans of the brand. After each match, players and attendees enjoyed a barbecue and shared a relaxed afternoon. This is an intimate tournament, designed to strengthen the bond between the polo community and the MOSSO and Hublot brands.
Located near Santiago, Santa María Polo is the space created by MOSSO for the practice and training of polo on grass. This center features top-level stables, as well as a gastronomic offering that makes it not only a sports venue, but also a place for gathering. “Santa María Polo is a very pleasant space where we can invite clients to be in contact with the animals and the environment,” highlights Parry.

MOSSO has been an important promoter of this sport in the country, through the various tournaments organized by the brand and its participation in the Chilean circuit. One of the most relevant milestones occurred in 2021, when the Mosso–La Dolfina team was crowned polo champion in Chile at the 2021 High Handicap Open. The achievement featured Adolfo Cambiaso, the greatest polo player of all time, who secured the victory in a team that also included his son “Poroto” and Ernesto Mosso.
Through brands such as MOSSO and Hublot, polo is experiencing sustained growth in Chile, showing an increasingly higher level and greater public interest. “Polo is growing tremendously in Chile. It is a very attractive sport to watch, with a wonderful atmosphere: the fields, the horses, the sunset,” says Eduardo Parry.

Hello everyone. I’m Jaime García Huidobro, a close friend of Ernesto and his family. When he asked me if I could write a polo column for his magazine, I felt deeply proud. The hardest part, however, was deciding what to talk about, since most of you, the readers, already know very well what this sport is all about. That is why I think it is interesting to share a bit about the quality of life that polo offers, whether as a professional player or as an amateur.
Many years ago, polo became my work and as often happens in this sport, it turns into a way of life, one that brings together many different experiences that make it truly fascinating.
Of course, it is always a pleasure to start the day with the horses and your grooms, enjoying breakfast and a good conversation to analyze how the horses looked and how they are feeling after their early morning exercise at 6 AM. Usually, after that, it is time to work up a sweat at the gym in order to stay in the best possible shape.
Being able to spend time with trainers and grooms, and then go on to lunch or dinner with businessmen or highly successful people in their respective fields, gives polo a unique appeal, something that is rarely found so clearly in other events, jobs or situations.
It is truly wonderful to have this way of life, whether for the professional polo player or for the person who plays the sport as an amateur, because even the amateur experiences both worlds: country life with nature, hardworking people, horses and a healthy lifestyle, where you can share the field with your children or, many times, with your father, while also meeting new people and individuals who are usually at the top of their businesses or ventures, as well as professional players who mix with them in competition.
As people always say, polo is an open passport to the world, and it opens a thousand doors. This lifestyle exists in every country on the planet. When you travel, you realize that you are no longer traveling as a tourist, but as a citizen of the world. There is no place you arrive where you cannot call a friend you met through polo. That is another thing that makes it so unique.
Polo is not just a sport, it is a way of life, and once you become involved in it, it is hard to leave behind.

For the first time, Chile hosted a stop of the Omega Trophy, the prestigious international golf tournament driven by the Swiss brand Omega and organized in collaboration with MOSSO.
On Wednesday, November 5, the first Chilean edition of the Omega Trophy took place at Hacienda Chicureo Golf Club. The event was organized by MOSSO and Omega, and in this debut edition, golfer Gonzalo de la Barra took the win.
This event is part of Omega’s global tournament series, held each year in different countries. In 2025, it included stops in Brazil in August, Panama in September and India in November, strengthening the brand’s international presence in sports.

Omega and Golf: A Historic Relationship
Among the company’s calendar highlights is the renowned Omega European Masters, one of the oldest tournaments in Europe. Held since 1923 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, it is part of both the European Tour and the Asian Tour. In its most recent edition, South African golfer Thriston Lawrence once again topped the podium following his previous win in 2022.

For MOSSO, the arrival of the Omega Trophy in Chile represents a strategic alliance with global brands linked to sport. “The Chilean date is very important for MOSSO because it gives us this partnership with major global brands and positions us as supporters and influencers of the tournaments these brands back. Sport is essential, and MOSSO wants to be part of these kinds of initiatives, supporting motorsports, golf, tennis and skiing,” says Luis Jaren, Chief Operating Officer of the company.
The sustained growth of Chilean golf is one of the reasons behind the intention for the Omega Trophy to remain in the country for many years. “Due to the brand’s distinctive attributes, each edition is different, and our goal is to hold it every year to continue supporting the sport and Omega,” says Jaren, who also foresees a long-term relationship between MOSSO and Omega through golf. “In the coming years, we will see exponential growth in golf. Chile will be part of it because it never stays out of international trends.”

LUXURY AND ADVENTURE MEET AT MOSSO WITH THE ARRIVAL OF IWC
The arrival of IWC Schaffhausen in Chile marks a new chapter for fine watchmaking in the country. Partnering with MOSSO, the historic Swiss maison lands with a lifestyle proposal where precision, adventure and design converge.
A shared attention to detail and timepieces crafted to match each individual’s needs and lifestyle unite MOSSO and IWC. In a dialogue between tradition and modernity, the alliance between these two brands becomes a milestone for Chilean clients, who now have access to the most iconic collections in Swiss watchmaking.
IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN:

IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN – SWISS ENGINEERING THAT PUSHES BOUNDARIES
Founded in 1868 by American engineer Florentine Ariosto Jones under the name International Watch Company, IWC represents a unique approach that merges traditional craftsmanship and Swiss precision with cutting-edge technology. For over 150 years, IWC has pioneered the use of materials such as titanium and ceramic and now specializes in advanced case engineering.
From its origins, IWC has stood out for creating watches designed as true precision instruments for professionals, adventurers and explorers. Navigators, pilots, engineers and divers have long trusted its timepieces, which are known for their robustness and understated design focused on function.
“IWC is one of the most renowned brands in Swiss watchmaking. Interestingly, it was founded by an American in Schaffhausen. It’s a very understated brand and highly respected by pilots and valued by collectors,” says Ernesto Mosso, founder of MOSSO.
Timeless elegance and mechanical sophistication
Beyond the world of sport, IWC’s offering expands into refined elegance. The Portugieser collection represents the brand’s classic and elegant side, heavily influenced by high-precision pocket watches. With its wide dials, balanced proportions and high complications such as perpetual calendars, chronographs and tourbillons, Portugieser is one of the most admired collections among connoisseurs.
Portofino, in turn, embodies relaxed and refined elegance, perfect for those seeking a sophisticated everyday watch. “The Chilean consumer is a mature collector of fine watchmaking and deeply values the mechanics. At the same time, there are many who appreciate understated luxury,” explains Ernesto Mosso.

IWC collections now available in Chile through MOSSO
Thanks to this new partnership, MOSSO adds to its portfolio the main IWC families now available to Chilean clients: Pilot’s Watches, Portugieser, Portofino and Ingenieur. Each collection embodies generations of watchmaking expertise, from rugged everyday models to complex mechanical masterpieces, all built to the highest standards of quality.

Luxury with a spirit of flight

For adventurers who seek elegance in every moment, the new Oris ProPilot Date reinterprets the brand’s aviation heritage with a refined aesthetic. Inspired by the 1938 Big Crown tradition, this model updates its visual codes with precise proportions and a confident presence.
Its flying spirit is present in every detail. From the case’s geometry to the clean legibility of the dial, every element recalls the instrumental tradition behind the collection. A watch that balances technical excellence and style, made to accompany each day with character and distinction.
The 41 mm case features satin and polished finishes that subtly catch the light, while the fluted bezel evokes the power of modern turbines. The dial —in black, chalk or moss— presents an organic texture that enhances legibility and visual harmony. Comfort is redefined with a metal bracelet or continuous-fit suede strap, both equipped with the signature “LIFT” clasp.
Sober, precise and true to the Oris spirit, the ProPilot Date offers functional elegance for those who turn everyday into a personal journey.

Breaking design rules and exploring a new visual dimension is what drives Hamilton’s Ventura Edge Skeleton. Departing from the traditional stepped contours of the Ventura, this new model adopts a sculptural, asymmetrical and dynamic shape that boldly redefines innovation. A daring evolution in timekeeping for luxury and haute horlogerie enthusiasts.
Its asymmetrical dial reveals mechanical architecture through a gradient mineral crystal plate that shifts from deep black to smoky transparency, creating a play of shadows and light that turns every glance into discovery.
Form and function meet in a shifting and seductive experience. Skeletonized hands and hammered metalwork beneath the dial emphasize the watch’s architectural depth. At its core, an automatic movement with an 80-hour power reserve offers a progressive take on mechanical art.
Since its debut in 1957, the Hamilton Ventura has stood as an icon of innovation. The Ventura Edge Skeleton redefines itself as a futuristic model that lives between dimensions.

Precision in summer tones
IWC Schaffhausen debuts the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Miramar in a fresh tone developed with Pantone®, featured across the ceramic case, dial and rubber strap. This seasonal edition expands the palette of the Colors of TOP GUN line.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the model reflects IWC’s mastery in advanced materials, achieving a luminous, cohesive aesthetic that brings summer directly into the heart of the collection. SuperLumiNova® coated hands provide subtle glow and clear visibility, even in low light.
IWC also introduces a version in stainless steel featuring the same Miramar color for the dial and strap, marking the first time a Pantone® tone is applied to a steel watch by the brand. A sapphire crystal caseback adds a sophisticated transparency that enhances the depth and character of the piece.
Both versions run on in-house 69000 series calibers with column wheel construction, robust architecture and a 46-hour power reserve. These two interpretations refresh the technical language of TOP GUN while preserving its aviation essence in a vibrant, precise and luminous color.

The spirit of the untamed
Some watches are made for the journey. The expanded TUDOR Ranger line confirms it from the very first second. This renewal introduces two new case sizes (36 and 39 mm) and a new "Dune White" dial that brings a contemporary note to the expeditionary spirit of the collection. The aesthetic remains true to its origin: functional, direct and built for real-life exploration.
Fully satin-finished cases enhance the tool-watch identity, while matte grained dials in black or sand promote balanced, legible design. Classic Arabic numerals, high-performance luminescence and arrow hands retain the Ranger’s iconic character, finished with a signature burgundy-tipped seconds hand. The offering includes a steel bracelet with rapid "T-fit" adjustment or a fabric strap in earthy tones, woven by Julien Faure.
Powered by TUDOR Manufacture calibers with 70-hour power reserves and precision certification, these new Rangers are designed to maintain performance across changing conditions, without compromising character. A Ranger with purpose in every step.

Audemars Piguet explores the edge of ultra-thinness with the Royal Oak RD#5, a timepiece combining a flyback chronograph and flying tourbillon in an architecture as extreme as it is refined. The iconic 39 mm “Jumbo” silhouette remains intact, while inside lies a movement engineered to push the limits of slimness without compromising mechanical rigor.
Constructed in titanium and an amorphous metal alloy, the case offers almost weightless wearability. Ultraresponsive pushers elevate the chronograph’s operation to a near-intangible gesture. The next-generation automatic caliber features a peripheral oscillating weight and a 72-hour power reserve, showcasing balanced and precise engineering.
On the dial, the flying tourbillon emerges as a suspended focal point that interacts with the rhythm of the chronograph. Every detail —from the satin finishing to the inner geometry— reflects the technical elegance that defines the RD series. A piece that condenses innovation, heritage and mechanical beauty in its most refined form.

ITALIAN CUISINE: UNESCO INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY
UNESCO World Heritage aims for the universal recognition granted to tangible or intangible assets of a country that transcend its geographic borders. Italy has 61 sites recognized as UNESCO World Heritage. Among them are also several intangible assets, closely linked to the country’s traditions and, in a certain way, to the lifestyle of the nation and its people. In the case of Italian gastronomy, more than a simple recognition, it can be said that it has truly been included as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
However, this recognition in the agri-food sphere had already occurred earlier with Neapolitan pizza, thanks to the art of the Neapolitan pizzaiolo and the relationship established with those who visit pizzerias. It is said that, in the first pizzerias of 18thcentury Naples, even the king would secretly go there. Likewise, the art of truffle harvesting and cultivation — a highly prized fungus — has been recognized because of the bond, dedication, and passion of the Italian farmer, as well as their close relationship with the environment.
This long road toward recognition has been driven over the years by various initiatives, among them the Weeks of Italian Cuisine in the World, organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with its embassies. No less important has been the work carried out since 1953 by the Italian Academy of Cuisine, which has 360 delegations around the world, 86 of them abroad, including the one in Chile.

The nature of Italian cuisine as Intangible Heritage of Humanity goes beyond specific dishes, recipes, procedures, and preparation techniques. In this case, the aim has been to give meaning to a single essential common thread: a culture of human relationships and conviviality that connects products, production territories, and culinary knowledge, culminating at the table as a place of gathering. There, not only are wellprepared dishes enjoyed; good conversation also comes together, capable of generating understanding and opening the way to shared purposes. Cooking can be a profession, like any other job.
Italian communities abroad have played a pioneering role in spreading Italian cuisine around the world, following a historical example comparable to that of Catherine de’ Medici. In a way, she was a promoter of the “Made in Italy” of her time, bringing with her to the French court — at just fourteen years of age — master Florentine cooks and pastry chefs, thus spreading a cuisine and a style born in the Florentine Renaissance. With Catherine de’ Medici, not only did Italian cuisine expand, but her numerous descendants also helped ensure the continuity of the Kingdom of France. Duck à l’orange, the omelette, ice cream, and the use of the fork and spoon were innovations that arrived from Florence and, from France, would spread to many other European countries.
Today, times have changed, but Italian cuisine must be protected, especially those products that are uniquely its own and that, at any latitude, provide that touch of uniqueness from which its unmistakable personality is born. This commitment falls both on families of Italian origin, who keep their roots alive, enriched by centuries of gastronomic experience, and on Italian restaurants abroad that present themselves as such.
For them, protecting this recognition also means staying up to date, learning new techniques, and gaining a better understanding of products, while accepting that continuous improvement requires humility and the willingness to keep learning.

SALMON TIRADITO WITH LECHE DE TIGRE, GREEN OIL, FRESH ORANGE SEGMENTS AND FRESH HERBS
Sashimi style salmon slices served over a fresh leche de tigre sauce with aromatic hints of green chili oil. Garnished with fresh orange segments that bring brightness and citrus notes to the dish. Finished with delicate seasonal herbs.
A fresh, light and sophisticated dish, perfect to start a summer lunch. I recommend pairing it with a Sauvignon Blanc or a dry Riesling as it enhances the acidity of the leche de tigre, a safe and elegant pairing.
