Hall of Fame Spotlight On.... TYLER HANSBROUGH

Poplar Bluff na ve Tyler Hansbrough, who was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame last February, will be enshrined into the Na onal Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame on August 30 in Chicago.

The unanimous 2008 Na onal Player of the Year at North Carolina, Hansbrough is the Atlan c Coast Conference’s all- me leading scorer, the fourth-leading scorer in NCAA Tournament history, the NCAA’s all- me record-holder in free throws made and the only ACC player to lead his team in scoring and rebounding in all four seasons.

He is also the only four- me All-American in ACC history.

From 2005-09 he led Carolina to a 120-22 record, three No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, three ACC regular season- tles, two ACC Tournament championships, two NCAA regional tles and Final Four berths and the 2009 NCAA championship.

He will be inducted August 30 in Chicago as part of a class that includes Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski and Johnny Dawkins, Jefferson University coach Herb Magee and the late talent scout Tom Konchalski, who directed the Five-Star Basketball Camp.
