Physicians Can Help in Ensuring Reliable and More Efficient EMR Systems Are EMRs giving you the correct information? Many issues are generated by electronic medical records and one of those is the information overload that can be generated. With too much of information available including programmed questions and answers that are often repetitive, physicians may find it extremely tedious to identify the exact problem of the patient. Very often, busy physicians tend to mark “normal” for all queries under the physical exam section. There is the strong likelihood that some important physical detail may be left out when data is entered mechanically and in a hurry. Another problem that arises is whether an EMR prescription list can be relied upon totally. All doctors who may be treating a patient may not be linked to a hospital’s e-prescription system, in the case of a patient being admitted to the hospital following an emergency.
