et’s get this part of the chronological need out of the way, with me wishing you all the best for the coming year, and hoping you have a happy and safe one with lots of new experiences.

Which leads me nicely on to this issue of what we’re now calling MoreBikes – your FREE monthly newspaper about the motorcycle universe and things that happen within it. You can read a more in-depth explanation of why the name change has happened on page 3 of the world’s biggest motorcycle monthly publication, but I’m going to underline something about the changes we’ve made this month.

You see, last issue I bemoaned how little is being done to get the motorcycle word out to the younger generation. And at the end of that editor’s column I said we were going to do something about it. And here we go.

What you’ll find in this issue is a new section called On 2 Wheels. This is a paper-within-a-paper that we’ve produced to do one thing – make it easy to find your way on to two wheels if you fancy becoming a motorcycle rider.

That’s it. A simple premise. And the reason it’s in MoreBikes is equally simple, and two-fold: if you’ve any level of interest in riding motorcycles and want to know how to go from having an idea to getting out on the road then here’s where you can get all the information you need for FREE. And if you’re already a motorcycle rider then you’ll not only find great news and tests on smaller capacity machines but top tips on everything motorcyclist, too.

But here’s the thing. We want you to pull-out the O2W pages of this paper (or grab another copy of MoreBikes) and GIVE IT AWAY. Hand it over to someone who you think would like motorcycles.

As converts to the cause, we already know how great motorbikes are. We love the style, fun and energy of riding, and we’re all passionate about it. So it’s time WE started spreading the word.

New Isle of Man TT schedule for 2020 announced

No replacement race for the dropped TT Zero outing There’s been a few shake-ups in the schedule for the annual event on the Isle of Man for this year, including more track time for solo competitors and a shift of the final qualifying session.

But there’s no replacement event for the TT Zero, electric bike race, which has been dropped by Isle of

Man race chiefs for two years whilst the future of the single-lap contest is reviewed. In recent years the amount of competitors taking part in the TT Zero race has dropped to single figures.

So here’s how the new-look Isle of Man TT races are lining up for 2020.

Practice week: Sunday May 31 – NEW afternoon qualifying session.

Monday June 1 to Thursday June 4 – Evening qualifying sessions as usual.

Friday June 5 – NEW Final qualifying session in the afternoon (was an evening session previously).

Race week:

Saturday June 6 – NEW single lap ‘Morning Warm Up Session’ for solo riders before the RST Superbike Race, which starts at noon. The first Sidecar race of TT Race Week gets underway at 3pm.

Monday June 8 – NEW single lap ‘Morning Warm Up Session’ for solo riders ahead of the Superstock race, with the first Supersport race of the week in the afternoon.

Wednesday June 10 – NEW single lap ‘Morning Warm Up Session’ for solo riders PLUS a NEW single lap Sidecar Shakedown Session, then the day’s racing consists of the second Supersport race of the week, which will be followed by the Lightweight TT race in the afternoon.

Friday June 12 – In the morning will be the second Sidecar race of the week. This will be followed by the six-lap Senior race to close the event.

All new four-wheelers getting speed limiters AND breathalyser tech as standard from 2022 Words: Tony Carter How about this for a bit of legal reality (it’s certainly an idea that might actually work because for once, legislation from the European Transport Safety Council about legal changes to what drivers can do behind a steering wheel doesn’t rely on the amount of police on the roads).

There’s a new clutch of vehiclemaking regulations. From 2022, all new cars will have to be equipped with automatic speed limiting equipment and come with the wiring already in place for built-in breathalysers. The regulations also state that vehicles with four wheels will also need to come equipped with data loggers, lane assistance, automatic emergency braking and drowsiness warning detection.

These plans were put forward originally by the council back in March, and have now received final approval . That means that these ideas will pass into law.

Whilst all models launched

from 2022 will have to have the technology fitted, models already on sale will have to comply with the rules by 2024.

So far, the British Government has yet to confirm if these regulations will also apply in the UK, but the Government has previously said that the UK will mirror European road safety rules even after a Brexit from the EU.

The future is now

Kawasaki says it WILL have radar on its bike in the near future Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd has announced that the advanced rider assistance system developed by the Bosch company is to be included in future Kawasaki motorcycles – a first for a Japanese motorcycle manufacturer. No date has yet been given by Kawasaki for when this system will actually appear on production bikes, but rumours suggest that it will first happen on road-going motorcycles in 2021.

Bosch’s Advanced Rider Assistance System is composed of three elements: ACC (adaptive cruise control), forward collision warning and blind spot protection.

These form a comprehensive system for motorcycle safety and feature the same ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology used in automobiles.

The underlying technology in this cutting-edge system is Bosch’s radar sensor, brake system, engine management system and HMI (human machine interface), which all work together to boost safety and comfort for motorcycle riders.

In-house accident research by Bosch has shown that advanced rider assistance systems can prevent one in seven motorcycle accidents. This is thanks to the assistance system’s electronics constantly monitoring the motorcycle’s surroundings

and responding to potentially dangerous situations faster than humans can react to.

Geoff Liersch, President of the Bosch Two-Wheeler and Powersports Business Unit, said: “Bosch continues to make riding safer, more efficient and fun around the world, and we are honoured to supply Kawasaki as first Japanese manufacturer, with the complete advanced rider assistance systems.”

Yuji Horiuchi, President of the Motorcycle & Engine Company in Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd., added: “We are glad to announce that our motorcycle will be equipped with Bosch’s advanced rider assistance systems, which gives more safety and comfort to riders. With the support of these systems, we are confident that Kawasaki can offer ‘Fun and Rewarding to Control’ to even more riders.”

What does the Advanced Rider Assistance System do?

ACC (Adaptive Cruise control)

ACC adjusts the vehicle speed to the flow of traffic and maintains the necessary safe following distance. This can be effective in preventing rear-end collisions caused by insufficient distance to the vehicle in front.

And not only does ACC offer riders more convenience, it also allows them to concentrate more on the road, particularly in high-density traffic.

Forward collision warning

Bosch has developed a collision warning function for motorcycles to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions and to mitigate the potential

consequences. If the system detects that another vehicle is dangerously close and the rider does not react to the situation, it warns the rider by way of an acoustic or optical signal.

Blind-spot detection

A radar sensor monitors the motorcycle’s surroundings and assists the rider in changing lanes safely. The system checks if there are any objects in areas that are typically difficult for the rider to see, and whenever there is a vehicle in the rider’s blind spot, the technology warns them by way of an optical signal – for example, in the rear-view mirror.

Ducati starts selling original racing parts as ‘collector’s memorabilia’ So what DO you get the biker who has pretty much everything? How about some trick bits from MotoGP and WSB race bikes straight from Ducati itself?

Yep, Ducati has launched Ducati Memorabilia – where the factory is literally selling off parts from some of it’s track bikes to fans around the world.

As of right now, the Ducati Memorabilia project gives Ducati fans the chance to buy certified parts from bikes used in MotoGP and WSB teams.

The first batch of official Ducati components consists of con-rods, crankshafts, camshafts and pistons, all personally certified by Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and mechanical guru Gigi Dall’Igna. All parts also come complete with a technical description and info on the relative rider and world championship season which they were contested in.

Indian-based TRIKE

Memorabilia items can be bought at the Ducati Store in Borgo Panigale, at selected Ducati dealerships and from 2020, online at: www.ducati. com Each piece is protected in a plexiglass display case and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Is this the world’s most fancy 50cc scrambler?

This really is just a 50cc bike and from the looks alone this is going to be on the wishlist of many newbie riders in the coming years. We’ve already seen the pre-production version of this bike, that’s pretty old news now, but this version looks even better and was shown to the world in productionready form last month.

The Bullit Hero Fifty isn’t lacking in the tech department, either. It’s got a double overhead camshaft with 4-valves, it’s air-cooled, has a 5-speed gearbox and an electric starter.

The snazzy small capacity motorcycle also gets upside-down forks, single rear shock with a 17” rear wheel and an 18” front. The long aluminium swingarm looks great and

the whole bike comes in the colour scheme you can see here.

Price-wise, it’s on a bit of a winner, too. To get your hands on this very lovely looking thing will set you back €2,499. It’s available now.

Based on the successful Indian Scout 1200, the Grinnall ‘Midwest Indian 3’ trike is a conversion that departs from the usual steel space frame and now uses an all-new CNC billet sub-frame made in 6082 aluminium alloy.

Designed by Steve Everitt, the stylish all-new body work incorporates a huge 50-litre waterproof storage space that is accessed through a lift-up cover. All made in high-quality GRP, the durable body panels can be painted any colour using two-pack paint.

There’s a limited run of 20 bikes and each comes with a 1 - 20 plate and certificate. They cost £26-27k each.

Orders for the new Grinnall trike are now being taken, with limited deliveries starting April/May 2020.

SUPER CHARGED This is the BST HyperTEK. It's an electric bike of the future that's designed by Pierre Terblanche (the man who brought us the Ducati 999)

Renowned motorcycle designer Pierre Terblanche and carbon wheel specialist BST have joined forces to reveal an all-new electric motorcycle: the HyperTEK. Best known for work designing the original Ducati Sport Classic, Multistrada, Hypermotard and 999 Superbike, Terblanche is back in action, teaming up with BST to create this weird and wonderful electric bike.

And he said: “This is the best work I’ve ever done.”

The futuristic HyperTEK’s a seriously interesting bit of kit. With a monocoque carbon fibre frame and a DHX Hawk electric motor, it kicks out 107bhp and 120Nm of instantaneous torque. Connected up to a quick charger, it’ll charge in 30 minutes – and (somehow) it’s claimed to return around 186 miles from its

4.75kWh battery pack. Given BST’s day job creating top-spec carbon fibree wheels, the HyperTEK is absolutely dripping in carbon fibre. And that means weight has been kept down to a respectable 205kg.

And although it looks like a crazy concept, BST is serious about getting the bike built. The plan is to start production in about 18 months’ time – but with it expected to cost $80,000 (£60,000), you had better get saving pretty sharpish.

WSB: Here’s the full calendar for 2020 season

Both Laguna Seca and Buriram are DROPPED The full race calendar for next season’s World Superbike Championship is now live and ready for the New Year – and it comes with a shock. The WSB paddock won’t be heading to Laguna Seca or Buriram at all this year.

Taking place across 11 different countries across four different continents, the 2020 WSB season kicks off at Phillip Island in Australia from February 28 to March 1.

It’s then on to Qatar, to race under the floodlights of the Losail International Circuit for Round Two of the season from March 13-15. Next up is the Circuito de Jerez, for the first European Round of the 2020 across March 27-29. Then the circus heads north to the Netherlands and the historic ‘Cathedral of Speed’ of TT Circuit Assen for Round 4 from April 17-19.

Round 5 will take place at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola in Italy, from May 8-10, before the Championship returns to Spain from May 22-24 at MotorLand Aragón.

Round 7 is at the Misano World

Circuit Marco Simoncelli from June 12-14, before the World Superbike Championship heads to Donington Park circuit across July 3-5.

From July 31 to August 2 the Championship will return to Germany to compete at Motosport Arena Oschersleben for Round 9, before heading to Portimao in Portugal from September 4-6.

Across the September 18-20, the championship will make its debut at the famous Circuit de Barcelona, Catalunya, and a week later WSB will head straight to France for the final European round of the year at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.

The paddock then heads to the Circuito San Juan Villicum in Argentina for the season finale.

Following the latest statistics from the UK Department of Transport (DfT), which reveal that motorcycle fatalities have slightly risen year-on-year, a British company has unveiled a new crash site sign – which warns bikers about a hazard up ahead.

With 354 motorcycle fatalities and more than 16,000 serious or slight motorcycle accidents recorded in the UK in 2018, TWM Traffic Control Systems has launched a new crash site hazard warning sign, which it’s encouraging local authorities to roll out at known motorcycle accident hotspots.

TWM’s new radar-activated hazard warning sign works to alert bikers of a potential hazard on the road ahead. For motorcyclists approaching the hazard at a speed over a set threshold, the sign will flash the ‘THINK’ bike logo, in addition to a message telling them to ‘BACK OFF’.

Kevin Marshall, TWM’s company director, said: “The new statistics from the Department of Transport are an uneasy read, especially the fact that 228 accidents could have been avoided with clearer and more striking signage to alert motorcyclists.

We have a passion for developing equipment that brings enhanced road safety to both drivers and pedestrians.

The new hazard warning sign was designed with the safety of motorcyclists in mind, and we hope that local authorities across the UK review the signage at their known accident hotspots, especially as we head into the darker and wetter winter months.”

It’s an interesting idea from TWM, but at this stage there’s been no news about these signs being put into action.

E-RACER GETS FUNKY E-Racer Motorcycles has released TWO funky electric bikes, built from the bones of a Zero SR/F and Zero FXS. And you really can get your hands on one.

Words: Ross Mowbray Blending modern technology with classic design, the Italian manufacturer has used a Zero SR/F as a base to create a seriously special, stripped back bit of kit.

The E-Racer Edge gets a small LED headlamp, a new seat (made in-house), new brake components, new spring elements – and some superbike-spec bars from LSL. That’s not all – for safety, E-Racer has developed a sound system to make the Edge audible.

If you’re interested in kitting out your Zero SR/F, you’ll be looking at spending €6,000 (just over

£5,000) for all the necessary bits and pieces – and when you consider that the bike costs €17,990 in its standard form, it’s an expensive proposition.

The second bike, the E-Racer Rugged, was first shown at EICMA 2018 in prototype form. Built around a Zero FXS Special, the slimmed down scrambler gets LED lights, an under seat USB port, handguards, upgraded suspension, an additional subframe and some serious off-road rubber.

And it looks ready to tackle anything.

In fact, the standard Zero FXS ‘Special’ has been used by the military – and the Rugged looks to take that resilience one step further. Again, the parts and labour to turn an FXS into the Rugged will cost around €6,000 (about £5,000), with the standard machine priced at just shy of €11,000. The first five models of the Edge and Rugged will be delivered in spring 2020, so if you’re interested in getting your hands on one as soon as possible, you had better move fast.

Here’s some behind-the-scenes photos of the supercharged p g Bimota Tesi H2 in development These shots were grabbed out in Italy where Bimota is clearly getting a lick on with the development of the supercharged Tesi H2 – the first product of the merge between Kawasaki and Bimota.

Announced at the Milan Show in early November last year, Bimota sold 49.9% of the brand to the Japanese bike builder, underlining the deal with a Kawasaki supercharged H2-powered Bimota-funky Tesi chassis’d special.

Aside from what we already know about the Tesi H2 (998cc, 4-cylinder in-line motor with centrifugal supercharger

etc., the chassis being a Bimota front swingarm integrated into the front wheel hub with Ohlins electronic suspension), there’s not much else to take from these photos.

There is some talk of this motor being able to belt out 300bhp in finished form. We’ll just let you theorise over whether that, with this chassis, would be a good thing to have at the tap of a right wrist or not.

Launched For 2020, Triumph takes its biggest of the big and goes harder and quicker than before

You might fancy a supersized motorcycle. And there’s a few out there to choose from, but what Triumph engineers have done with the Rocket 3 for 2020 is create a bike that draws you in with that gargantuan triple engine, but keeps you interested with all the clever details and high-quality components.

From the fold-away pillion pegs to hiding all the unsightly wires by running them inside the frame, this looks like a very well finished motorcycle when you first cast your eyes across it.

No matter what we might think about this sort of bike – and how we ‘think’ it might handle in the real world – to get on with the job of finding our way with the big Rocket, we have to address the 2.4-litre sized elephant in the room. That motor.

Now, this production engine is (literally) the biggest thing about this bike. The all-new inline triple motor boasts 2458cc displacement with power figures of 165bhp (123kW) @ 6000rpm and a quite frankly bonkers peak torque of 163lb-ft (221Nm) @ 4000rpm. If the Rocket 3 had any more oomph it would risk spinning the planet off its orbit.

Two flavours

That same engine powers two Rocket 3 models, the roadster-styled R, and the touring-oriented GT. In addition to the engine, the two models share all the main components from the new aluminium frame, single-sided swingarm and shaft drive to an 18-litre tank, highend electronics, Brembo brakes and Showa suspension units. The differences are subtle, but they change the looks and ride feel.

The R has mid-positioned foot pegs and roadster handlebars, but no screen or pillion back rest. The GT features forward-mounted pegs, touring handlebars, fly screen and a more padded pillion seat with a back rest. It also gets heated grips as standard, whereas on the R they are an optional extra. All these items are interchangeable between the bikes, so you can pick and choose. Apart from this, the bikes are identical.

On the road

At the world riding launch event in Tenerife, we had the opportunity to ride both models to see just how different they are.

I started the day on the roadsterstyled R. It’s a bike that you approach with a degree of caution and awe.

I had never ridden a bike with an engine that big. Come to think of it, I haven’t driven many cars with an engine that big.

The first impressions were positive, though. The seat is nice and low, so at standstill you can control the hefty weight of the bike by planting your feet firmly on the ground. Hitting the ignition starts the soundtrack with a deep base that instantly reminds you that you are, in fact, sitting on a Rocket. Blip the throttle for some revs and the bike leans gently to the left – just a touch, but enough that you notice it. Apparently, Triumph could have dialled this out, but they wanted to keep it to give the bike more character – good choice!

As you set off you notice two things: The first is that power delivery is smooth and predictable with plenty of poke across the rev range. You also appreciate that this is a BIG bike. It doesn’t feel anything like as heavy as it is, but words light and nimble aren’t the ones you’re looking for.

The big and fat torque curve means that if you don’t feel like it, you don’t need to change the gears too often – just surf the torque wave and relax.

If you want to really be on it, keep the revs above 3000rpm. This is easy with the super-slick gearbox

With a weight saving of more than 40kg, the new Rocket 3 R and GT are both more than 13% lighter than the previous generation’s biggest Triumph ever.

For the British factory to dump the kilos, it turned to solid engineering practices with a new crankcase assembly, new lubrication system and new balancer shafts. Those elements alone take 18kg off the motor, compared to the previous motorcycle’s powerplant.

Added to that is a lighter all-new six-speed helicalcut gearbox and a ‘massoptimised’ aluminium frame that contribute to the overall weight saving. All good things when it comes to the motorcycle in isolation – and the new base weights are 291kg and 294kg for the R and GT respectively (without fuel).

that offers great feel and impressive precision. Apparently, that’s thanks to the new helical-cut gearbox, which is smoother, stronger and lighter than a straight-cut box would be. It also means that Triumph was able to make it smaller than before.

It really works a treat, with the downside being that I can’t imagine many wanting to fork out for the accessory quickshifter when using this box (with or without the clutch) is so easy.

Climbing a mountain

As we weaved our way up to the volcanic top of Mount Teide, other attributes of the bike came to light.

The Rocket 3’s brakes, suspension and the invisible hand of the electronics proved to be more than up to the job of keeping all that power, torque and weight in check.

The strength and feel of the Brembo brakes was superb, making it easy to shave off enough speed for the hairpins so there was something left of the foot pegs after the ride (they do touch down quite early).The suspension kept the big bike stable through acceleration, cornering and braking, although the pothole-infested roads of Blighty would surely ask more from the units than the smooth Spanish Tarmac.

Behind the scenes, electrickery linked the brakes, detected corners, measured lean angle, and vetoed any unreasonable requests for power – all to keep the bike stable, easy to ride, and, most importantly, shiny side up.

Time to relax

After the morning on the R, I got the chance to ride the GT, and I have to admit that I was surprised how different it felt to ride. I found that the touring bars made steering lighter and cornering easier. The pillion back rest made no difference as I didn’t have a passenger, but the higher pillion perch gave a little more lumbar support, which felt great, especially when accelerating hard. The little screen didn’t seem to make any practical difference, but the standard heated grips would be much appreciated back home. The forward-mounted pegs provided a comfortable riding position, but as soon as you added more lean to your cornering your heels scraped the ground – that was a first for me.

I preferred the riding feel of the GT, but I prefer the red colour scheme that’s only available on the R. And I think I would go for the mid-position foot pegs, too.

So for me, the ideal bike would be a Rocket 3 pick and mix special.

Totally agree Dear MB I found myself nodding with approval at so much that Peter Crofts said in his letter published in the November issue on the subject of motorcycles for older riders. I would add that the pillion footrests should be about the same height from the ground as the driver, with a horizontal seat, so that the passenger may also get on the motorcycle with ease. Pictured on the opposite page to Peter's letter was a Triumph Street Twin, which has so much going for it in terms of style and ease of getting on and off, but lacks a centre stand, a decent front mudguard, and is much too heavy. I don't need an engine capacity of 900cc now, and I'm sure a lot of older riders feel the same.

As a 72-year-old rider who has owned motorcycles since the mid 1960s, I would be quite happy to buy a Triumph Twin of 500cc capacity, styled like the Tiger 100s or Daytonas that were made up until the early 1970s, but with electric start. I need to be able to take my wife and myself to the Isle of Man with some luggage, and in comfort, but without the intimidating weight of so many modern motorcycles. Perhaps Triumph missed a trick when they introduced the latest Speed Twin as a 1200 instead of a 500, as that was always the capacity of the Speed Twin. Peter's idea of a v-twin, like a Morini 3 1/2 or V-Strom with a smaller engine than 650cc, would also do the trick.

Come on manufacturers, it's time to realise that there is a big market out there for older riders who do not want a Chinese 125cc motorcycle, worthy though they may be, but we want a lighter machine that has all the attributes mentioned by Peter and me.

Dear MB In response to the letter from Peter Crofts in the November issue regarding the problems faced by older riders, I had a similar problem last year, aged 73, when buying a new bike. I had a short list of five and eventually decided on an adventure-style Kawasaki Versys X300 with ABS. It has a list price of a bit over £5000. I have found this bike to be excellent.

It has a kerbside weight of 175kg and is easy to manoeuvre manoeuvre.

It has an upright riding position with a very effective screen. It is quite high off the ground, but is available in two seat heights and there is a suspension lowering kit available from Lust Racing if required. It has a lovely 300cc liquid cooled twin cylinder engine giving out 40bhp and plenty of torque. The maximum speed is in the 90s and mine is averaging 76mpg. With the 17-litre fuel tank this gives a range of about 250 miles.

There are plenty of accessories a available. I have h had a centre stand fitted, fi also heated grips and a a top box. There are panniers, p spot lights, hand guards, g etc .,also available.

It has a feather-light clutch, c but the gearbox can c be a bit clunky at times.

Altogether I have found this ideal for my use, whether using it locally or on a 300-mile trip mainly on motorways.

Dear MB I read in MB about the TT Zero race being dropped from the racing week on the Isle of Man. I was surprised that something that was so positive wouldn’t be allowed to continue by the powers that be, so I went and did some research into the past few years of racing with electric bikes at the Isle of Man. I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t realise that the turnout for these races was so low. I’ve not been to watch the racing in person for a few years now, but when I was last there a lot of attention was centred around John McGuinness and the Japanese Honda Mugen bike, which did very well and looked very fast.

Apart from a couple of other big names like Michael Rutter and Bruce Anstey, I don’t think I’ve even heard of the other riders taking part in the Zero race. Then you can count up the amount of riders taking part and it’s barely enough to bother more than one hand.

What do you mean ‘Oh no, more retro’?

Dear MB I’m not sure what Pete Crawford’s point is in relation to the XSR700 XTribute, and its few genuine similarities with the old XT500 (Oh no, more ‘retro’ – November Letters).

That’s the whole point – it’s a ‘tribute’ to the XT500, not an attempt to replicate it!

Also, why so sick of retro bikes? Chill out, no one is forcing you to have one. I have no interest in large, heavy adventure bikes, bobbers or cruisers, dreadnoughts like Gold Wings or big Harleys, or expensive superbikes (that frankly I can’t afford nor have the ability to scratch the surface of

After reviewing all this I started to sympathise with the people who run the Isle of Man and can see why the electric race is probably gone, in truth.

Without people taking part it turns into parody of the rest of the brilliant races that we can watch on television throughout racing week.

But I do have a plan to save the Zero TT race and it’s simply to make it a production model event. One rule addition that would make it easy to understand and take part in for everyone is that the only bikes that can be run are electric bikes that you can buy from a shop. There will be no more pricey specials built and you could make it so that the bikes used can’t have any modifications aside from losing light, mirrors, stands and rear mudguard.

There’d be lots of people wanting to take part and it stops the Zero race being dominated by very expensive factory specials.

I’ve owned DTs, XTs, RDs, FZs, FZRs, YZFs (even a TDM), to name the Yamahas alone, but when I picked up a new XSR700 last year, I literally laughed out loud (in my helmet) all the way home, and I still do when I ride it today – it’s a hoot, very easy to ride and simply great fun! The tribute isn’t my cup of tea, but at least the speedo is easier to read while riding than that on the XSR.

Admittedly, I didn’t buy the XSR to tour or commute on (though it is very nimble in traffic), and it’s not powerful, so it won’t please everyone. However, each to their own.

We all ride bikes, and with more and more things in the world that are genuinely worth feeling sick to the back teeth of, the XSR is one of my favourite antidotes, and hope your bike is, too!
