Morton Buildings can assist design professionals in a variety of ways:
» Offer preliminary budget costs early in the design stage, which can provide time and resource savings
» Provide the basic layout of the building structure that would wrap around your interior floor plan design
» Provide structural drawings, details and specifications from a licensed structural engineer or provide the information to your engineers for certification
» Provide foundation design from a licensed structural engineer
» Provide a single point of contact for you to help coordinate the project and answer any questions
» Provide general contracting and construction management services across the country
Morton Buildings is a vertically integrated company, which means many materials are manufactured in our plants, shipped to the jobsite via our fleet, built using our construction crews, and construction management is provided by us. Morton is self-performing on the structural building envelope, optimizing efficiency and providing superior quality control.
About Morton
Headquartered in Morton, Illinois, Morton Buildings has national capabilities with local expertise. Morton operates over 100 employee-owned construction centers that serve as logistical/local hubs for construction services and subcontract networks. Morton also operates 8 manufacturing facilities where many of our building components are produced. Our vertical integration allows us to control quality, timelines, and reduce shipping costs.
When you build with Morton, you build something that lasts. Morton self performs and employs roughly 1,000 full-time construction professionals whose focus is on quality and craftsmanship. Morton stands the test of time-we've been at this for more than 120 years after all. What got us here is simple: our materials, our people and a warranty that beats all others.
Quality is at the heart of Morton Buildings. From the smallest fastener to the trusses overhead, Morton leaves nothing to chance. Our competitors use a network of various suppliers to source their materials. We source and manufacture our own materials. We roll form our own steel, build our own trusses, doors, and so much more.
Regardless of the materials, a building is only as good as the people who construct it. At Morton, we are true craftsmen and we want to build structures that exceed expectations. Our construction crews are full-time and only construct our buildings. These are seasoned professionals who walk the walk and build the best.
Morton Buildings is the industry-leader in post-frame construction. Post-frame construction is a highly engineered wood-frame building system that meets local, state and national building codes. Post-frame buildings feature large, laminated columns instead of wood studs, steel framing, or concrete masonry.
» A post-frame building forms a tremendously strong structure that efficiently resists wind and seismic forces, even for buildings that clear-span 100 feet or more in width.
» Post-frame construction requires limited wall and roof framing materials, and minimal footing and foundation materials.
» Post-frame achieves sustainable benefits without prohibitive cost restraints, as it includes many sustainable design aspects by default.
Our post-frame structures are not only durable and functional but also visually appealing, making them the perfect choice for your next project.
