Skyborn (wpd) were looking to grow their wind division, increasing headcount from 40 to 150 in order to support their internal project portfolio At the time (2016) they were heavily reliant on using 3rd party consultancies to deliver project milestones which increased their project costs and ultimately diluted their control on quality. To support them, we provided agency and statement of work consultancies to reduce costs and help them to maintain project control.

Repsol is a multi-energy company operating around the globe. Their activities range from oil and gas exploration and production to refining as well as selling derived products and providing services for everyday life, such as natural gas and electricity.

In October 2018, Morson was awarded the agency contract on a PSL basis, split 50/50 with another agency partner

This contract is to supply both temporary and permanent resources across a multitude of disciplines. Since contract award, we have successfully migrated over 100 contractors from the incumbent supplier (without loss of one single contractor).

Morson were awarded the RPO with VPI Power in October 2022 on a two year contract to supply all technical engineering and asset management professionals for 5 CCGT & CHP plants in the UK.

VPI is a UK-based power company, providing energy to the National Grid. They are part of the UK’s pathway to Net Zero, complementing the increase in renewable energy to power homes and businesses.

VPI’s portfolio includes hydrogen and carbon capture projects to help lower emissions and develop a future for decarbonised, dispatchable and flexible generation in the UK

VPI is committed to spending more than £2 billion on supporting energy transition over the next five years.

Via our RPO division, RPO1, Morson are proud to be the sole provider of all technical engineering and asset management employees.

This consultation saw us undertake an analysis of all off-payroll workers that VPI Power managed, as well as providing all Vetting for new hires.

Our off-site delivery teams ensure that 98% of VPI Power’s requirements are filled directly, with strict SLAs monitoring our performance

Supporting OPG with skills for both Hydro and Nuclear Power

In supporting OPG for over a decade, we have ensured that OPG have the right skills at the right time. Utilising resources to ensure that the planned Nuclear refurbishment was a success and delivered on time.

OPG is a crown corporation based in Ontario. Operating CANDU reactors and also other power generating assets

OPG is currently renewing and refurbishing their assets in order to keep pace with the demand for electricity in Ontario. These key assets are vital not only for Ontario but also Canada’s thriving economy.

OPG has also been at the forefront of Canadian SMR implementation and has invested (federal) $970m to construct and operate Canada’s first SMR in Darlington, Ontario

Ormonde Windfarm

Morson Projects were appointed by Areva T&D to provide technical support for the secondary design, layouts and calculations at Ormonde Windfarm.

Derby energy from waste facility

Morson Projects were appointed as the Principle Design Contractor for a new Waste for Energy Plant in Derby.

Via Morson Projects, we had a team of 60 engineers and modellers working on the project In addition to the model, we had responsibility for Process Verification, Electrical and Instrumentation, Civil and Structural (secondary steelwork) and Pipe Stressing of critical lines. The primary deliverable from Morson Projects was a fully detailed clash-free, fully operable, safe and maintainable 3D Model design in Navisworks.
