Know the Campus Innovation Center The Innovation Center opened last Fall to students and their classes. You will find a variety of manufacturing equipment, a 3D printing lab and a makerspace. The building is opened to students for individual projects by appointment.
Rec Center
Admin Building
This building houses pool tables, a ping pong table, darts and an entertainment room with TV. The Barn, as it is known, is a great place to hang out and meet your classmates
You will find your mail in this building. The Registrar, Financial Aid, Business Office and Dean of Academics are found here as well. At the back of the building is the Parkinson Auditorium. Several events are held in there..
Career Center
Tech Center
The College will be adding a new Career and Student Service office. A space for clubs to meet, and students to receive career assistance.
All of your core classes will be held in the Tech Center. More great news! The computer labs have received updated equipment. The Tech center wraps around to the Administration Building.
Odey Hall
Rambo Center
This will be your home away from home for the next two years. The great news is that all dorms are being remodeled over the summer. You will walk into new rooms that you can make your own.
All of your general education courses will be in this building. All rooms have recently been remodeled—LCD monitors are installed in each room. You will also find the Library here as well as many of the instructor’s Offices.
CAMPUS LIFE

Check in with our Residential Advisors (RA’s) to receive your room key.
Students and staff will be here to greet you and direct where to check in at.
It is advisable to bring a cart dolly, if available, ask your friends and family to help as well!
You may use the main and side entrances to Odey Hall to carry in items
Parking is available in the main parking lot in front of the campus
Please do not park on the lawn to unload.

FAQ’s May I see my room before move in day? Yes! You may visit campus at anytime during open hours and view your room. It is best to set up a time with the Admissions office. You may reach them at 815-772-7218 x 206 (Gianna) If you are unable to visit please let us know—we will gladly send pictures of your future home. Do I need to move out during breaks? You do not need to move out until Winter Break, December….January,,, When moving out during Winter Break you will need to remove all food from your refrigerator, unplug and leave the door open. All items may stay in your room unless you choose to take them home over break. You must move out all items you arrived with in August. At the end of your second semester; April 29th, you will need to be moved out of your dorm room by May 1st, 4 pm. What activities are available? You may choose to join clubs on campus. The most popular clubs are Student Government and Student Ambassadors. These clubs hold most of the events offered on campus. You may take advantage of the State Park in Morrison, Rockwood. Fishing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, winter snowshoeing and cross country skiing are a few of the activities you may do at the park. There are festivals in town; the most popular is Paint the Town,. It will be held on September 21, 2019. Close by there is a minor league baseball team, the Clinton Lumbekings. There are several more activates on and off campus that you will discover your two years here Can I hang pictures, posters, etc on the wall?? Yes. We recommend using products that will not leave a residue. These include 3M pull tab strips or painters tape. Putting holes in the wall iis not allowed and will result in a damage charge. When will I find my room assignments and roommate?? Roommate assignments should be received by late June. Are laundry Facilities provided? Washers and dryers are located in the rec center, “ the barn”. The cost OF $1.75 washing and $1.00 drying. Can I bring a pet? No. No. and No.

Getting to Know Your Roommate One of the most important relationships you’ll develop at Morrison is the one with your roommate. Weather you grew up together or you’ve never met, communication is the key to a positive roommate relationships. Remember, roommates will not agree on everything—and that’s okay!

No Stove No Problem Stir Fry
Dorm Tacos
1—Ramen Noodles package ( no flavor pack and drain water after cooking) 2 fresh diced peppers, grilled chicken, and half a packet of Italian dressing mix
Buy 2-5 ilbs. Of ground beef and add onions, peppers, and other things (optional) and make yourself some poor man’s tacos with a bunch of cheese! Don’t forget the chorizo -Jose Perez
Throw it in a pan on a hot plate with some olive oil and stir it up for 5—10 minutes. Make a cheap, healthy, delicious stir fry. Can feed two people if you add 3 peppers instead of 2
If you use a pizza pizazz you can buy a 5 pound bag of breaded chicken. 16 minutes on one side and flip it over and do another 16 minutes.
