Miami is continually changing and a recent WalletHub study showed that the city is growing faster than almost any other in America. Restaurateurs are getting in on the action with some of the hottest openings the Magic City has seen in years. ERICA CORSANO

FOOD HALLS Miami has perfected the food hall concept and there are about a dozen to choose from. Take The Citadel in the burgeoning Little River District. This multi-level complex boasts about 15 dining options from the likes of Haitian chef Jouvens Jean and gourmet chocolates from world-renowned pastry chef, Antonio Bachour. It also offers live music, DJ rooftop parties and retail and museum design popups that support local talent.

The Time Out Market takes the food hall concept to Miami Beach with 18,000 square feet of culinary goodness. The 18 mouthwatering eateries

include Florida’s culinary master chef Norman Van Aken’s first foray into a food market with K’West (SOFLA fare) and Beach Pie (pizza), “Top Chef ” Season 13 winner Jeremy Ford’s interpretation of Korean flavors and Michael Beltran’s all-woodburning concept Leña.

MiamiCentral train station’s impressive food hall and marketplace Central Fare will have you dining in, train to catch or not. The brand new spot offers an impressive selection of wine, pastries and more from local vendors while playing host to Juvia Group’s newest restaurant concept La Estación American Brasserie, a casual American brasserie with a French twist.

Urbanica Hotels, rapidly expanding its portfolio on the famed Fifth Street corridor, recently launched Orilla, a bar

and grill at The Euclid Hotel, an Argentinian take on South American-meets-global cuisine.

Think steaks cooked on a Josper oven served with roasted vegetables and rice and sweet treats like lemon tart and flan.

Longstanding São Paulo Japanese Michelin-star restaurant Kosushi recently brought its Asian (by way of Brazil) flavors to the beach’s über cool South of Fifth neighborhood. Devour as much of their artsy Japanese food as you possibly can and wash it all down with the Shokobutsuen—a mix of gin, fresh lemon juice, basil, cucumber, mint and organic sugar syrup.

A few blocks north you’ll find swanky and sexy Mandrake, an Asian restaurant and cocktail bar offering high-end sushi and

modern Asian dishes created by Nobu alumnae. While the food is divine, the French-Indochine style dining room featuring an illuminated sushi bar and bold floralprint banquets sets the scene for lively dining and impressive people watching.
