Discover a New View in Atlanta Ever seen art by Al Taylor? Neither had I. That's partly because the High Museum of Art in Midtown is the first museum in the country to organize a major exhibition exploring the career of this late American artist. Despite spending most of his life in New York, Taylor's work was more widely known in Europe—perhaps until now.

90 MINUTES IN: Open through March 18, the exhibit, "Al Taylor, What Are You Looking At?" displays more than 150 sculptures, drawings and prints spanning from 1981 to the artist's death in 1999. Drawn together from distinguished collections such as the National Gallery of Art, The Museum of Modern Art and The British Museum, the works reveal Taylor's innovative interplay between unexpected materials (think

A: Let's talk pasta—one of my favorite subjects! Two of my favorite places to recommend are within walking distance of our hotel. Chef Drew Van Leuvan, executive chef of Seven Lamps, used to have his own handmade pasta company and Craig Richards, executive chef at St. Cecilia, offers an incredible rotation of pasta dishes.

Q: Can you name a few restaurants with heated patios for patrons to enjoy?

A: We are fortunate in Atlanta that our winters are mild enough to enjoy outdoor dining year-round. However, we sometimes need a heat lamp to see us through. Best dining on heated patios are Seven Lamps, South City Kitchen and Gypsy Kitchen at the Shops Buckhead Atlanta.

Following two years of renovations, this Double-Tree by Hilton, located in the heart of the city, debuted its soft rebranding in October 2017. Originally built in 1962, new ownership from Legacy Ventures has returned to its original name, honoring its landmark history. The American has not only hosted many world leaders (Martin Luther King, Jr., Jimmy Carter, Elvis Presley, James Brown, Aretha Franklin—to name a few) but was the first integrated hotel in then-flourishing Downtown Atlanta.

Hotel Clermont DESIGNED FOR: Late Night Revelers hotelclermont.com Originally built in the 1920s, the revamped Hotel Clermont—known for the infamous Clermont Lounge in its basement—is a vital landmark in Atlanta’s history, albeit with a curious past. The anticipated 94-room boutique hotel is set to open this spring.

THE LOOK Three suites, 76 standard rooms and 15 bunk rooms—made for four guests each as an ode to the hotel’s historical revolving door of notable guests—make up the accommodation

offerings. New Yorkbased studio Reunion Goods & Services is planning eclectically lavish décor to span the decades since the hotel’s genesis with a posh-punk vibe.
