What a night!

Tonight, we celebrate 19 years of Morristown ONSTAGE, the Morris Educational Foundation’s largest fundraising event—supporting more than 5,700 students, 1,000 educators, and 10 schools across the Morris School District. While the talent on stage is extraordinary, the heart of this evening is our shared commitment to the future of our children. Our partnership with the Morris School District Board of Education, administrative leadership, teachers and staff makes our work so inspiring – and we are grateful!

Tonight we hope to also turn the spotlight on the MEF and share more about the MEF In Action! We hope you enjoy!

This event would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, advertisers, donors, performers, and the Morristown community. Your support allows the Morris Educational Foundation to provide essential resources that enrich learning and open doors to opportunity—from music and the arts to STEM programs, after-school enrichment, and classroom materials. Together, we are helping every student thrive and achieve their full potential.

As we celebrate tonight, we are already looking ahead. Next year, Morristown ONSTAGE marks its 20th anniversary—a milestone you won’t want to miss! Please save the date for Thursday, February 25, 2027! Two decades of creativity, community, and impact will be celebrated in style, and we hope you’ll be part of this unforgettable milestone.

A heartfelt thank you to our headline sponsor and long-time partner, Atlantic Health –Morristown Medical Center, for your steadfast support. Special thanks as well to our Gold Sponsors, Hillary and Rich Lindner and Steven H. Wolff, Esq. and Matheu D. Nunn, Esq., for their generous commitment to our schools.

PERFORMERS

The Colleagues

The Colleagues, Adam and Emilia, are a musical duo formed at Morristown High School, where they both work and have been performing together since January 2025. Emilia discovered her love for singing through her church choir teacher, Angela Intili-Stokes, who nurtured her talent during countless hours spent at the church with her mother.

Adam began playing guitar as a Morristown High School freshman after hearing Jimmy Page for the first time, sparking a lifelong passion. Adam returned to the district in the high school’s IT department, while Emilia is a teacher at the high school. The duo performed at the “MHS Apollo Night” last year and is excited to bring their collaboration to ONSTAGE.

Ollie Eaton

Ollie has been taking voice lessons for over a year and a half, and becoming a singer is his dream. He played piano for ten years, and music has always been a central part of his life. He has performed in several theatrical roles, including Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and Maui in Moana. He studied theater at MPAC for three years while also taking piano and voice lessons with Paul Landmesser and singing in Academy Voices at Newark Academy. Ollie is strongly influenced by his favorite artist, Benson Boone, and credits his Aunt Jeannine as his inspiration for this act.

McKenzie Hegarty

McKenzie Hegarty is a classically trained vocalist with over 13 years of professional training. She began her artistic education at the Mayo Performing Arts Center and continued her studies at Paper Mill Playhouse through its Broadway Show Choir and Conservatory programs. McKenzie has performed on offBroadway stages and received a National Youth Arts Award in 2019 for her role as Sophie in Mamma Mia!. A titleholder in the Miss America Organization, she is currently Miss Bergen County and will compete for Miss New Jersey this June. McKenzie works as a reporter and content coordinator for The Pulse USA Morristown, is a vocal coach for young performers, and is pursuing a career in broadcast journalism.

PERFORMERS

Ashley Koning

Ashley Koning is a New Jersey native whose love of singing began in childhood and grew through school choirs and musical theater, earning her a Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star nomination in high school. She went on to receive a music scholarship and earn a degree in vocal performance, training in both opera and musical theater, while also majoring in political science. After completing a master’s degree and doctorate, Ashley became a political science professor and now serves as Director of the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling at Rutgers University. A longtime Morristown resident, and parent of a Woodland Elementary student, she is joyfully returning to music as an act of self-care, creativity, and storytelling.

Garrett Lash

Garrett Lash is a 29-year-old musician originally from Los Angeles who has been playing piano and singing since childhood. By day, he works in supply chain planning, but music remains a central part of his life. Garrett performs as a member of three bands and two choirs and sings at Morristown Presbyterian Church. A lifelong fan of classic rock, his musical style is inspired by artists such as The Beatles, Elton John, Queen, and Led Zeppelin.

After taking a break from performing, Garrett rediscovered his passion for music after moving to New Jersey, where open mic nights and collaborations with fellow musicians reignited his love for live performance.

Juniper McDevitt

Juniper McDevitt, known as Junie, is an eight-year-old 2nd grader from Woodland Elementary school who is thrilled to be performing in Morristown ONSTAGE this year. She loves singing, skiing, spending time with friends, and going on road trips with her family. Juniper sings with the Children’s Choir of New Jersey and has participated in several MPAC Broadway Kids productions. She also studies voice with Ms. Gotanco at the Continuo Arts Foundation. Inspired by her dad, who sings in the choir at Assumption Church in Morristown, Juniper is grateful for the support of her teachers, including Teresa Gotanco, Samantha Ferrara, Mr. Mamolen, and the MPAC Broadway Kids staff.

PERFORMERS

Jackson Miller

Jackson Miller is a senior at Morristown High School who has been singing and performing on stage since middle school. He began singing in Select Choir in sixth grade and started performing in theatrical productions in eighth grade. Jackson has been actively involved with Morristown High School Theatre since his freshman year. He studies voice with Emma Mason in Mendham and Karen Notare in Flanders, New Jersey.

Jackson received a Bergen PAC Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Javert in Les Misérables, a production that also earned awards for Best Ensemble, Best Orchestra, and Best Overall Musical. His musical influences include Philip Quast and Norm Lewis.

Mara Miner

Mara Miner, Chief Financial Officer at Morristown Medical Center, began dancing at the age of three and trained competitively throughout her childhood and college years. She was a member of the First Ladies Dance Team at The George Washington University, where the team placed in the top ten Division I schools at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championships. After college, Mara retired from dance and pursued a career in public accounting. In 2019, she rediscovered her passion for dance after her husband surprised her with a Valentine’s Day ballroom dance lesson. Since then, she has immersed herself in different styles, competing in multiple Pro-Am local and national competitions. Mara has trained with Frank Cuba through the Arthur Murray franchise in Morristown for six years and is inspired by performances such as Forever Tango and Dancing with the Stars.

Fiona Quirk

Fiona Quirk is a Morristown native who began dancing at the age of eight and has been training in ballet for over fourteen years. She started her ballet education at New Jersey Ballet, continued with private study, and later trained at the American Ballet Theatre JKO School in New York. Fiona is currently a trainee with New Jersey Ballet and is pursuing a professional ballet career with hopes of joining a company close to home. While classically trained, she is drawn to neo-classical and contemporary styles, which allow her to explore the expressive and emotional depth of ballet. Fiona is inspired by human struggle and supported by the friends, family, and teachers who have guided her journey in dance and in life.

PERFORMERS

Selah Raphael

Selah Raphael is a senior at Morristown High School, whose name means “pause and reflect,” a meaning that perfectly captures her relationship with music. Singing is her space to slow down, feel deeply, and express emotions that words alone cannot convey. Music brings Selah peace, joy, and confidence, and allows her to share her heart with others. She performs “One Moment in Time” to showcase both her vocal ability and emotional connection, delivering a powerful and meaningful performance. Deeply inspired by Whitney Houston, Selah strives to honor the song’s message of self-belief and courage while singing with power, grace, and authenticity.

Spare Parts

Eric Chang, Mark Hanna, Zachary Klein

Rob Miller, Alyssa Wilson Tay

Spare Parts is a high-energy rock and pop act with deep roots in the local community. Eric, Mark, and Rob are Morris School District parents and Mark and Zack are lawyers at Fox Rothschild in town. Zack has been playing music since elementary school, studying jazz guitar for over 20 years, and draws inspiration from artists like Nirvana, Metallica, and Soundgarden. Eric has trained as a vocalist since age ten, singing in choirs thro school and with Harvard’s Radcliffe Choral Society before performing in cover bands for nearly a decade. The band is known for getting audiences dancing with infectious energy and tight musical chemistry.

Tashia Davis, “Tay”, is a Morristown High School alum whose love for music began at a young age, singing in church choir and entertaining family and friends. Music has always been her passion, second only to being a devoted mother. She believes in good energy, positive vibes, and using music as a way to uplift others. She’s an Alfred Vail and FMS parent, and works for the Office of Temporary Assistance. Tay spends her free time with her children, who continue to inspire and encourage her to sing.
