Thoughts On The Season:

This season we have seen alot of growth in many of our young guys which is great. We started the season with two returning starters from last season and have asked the boys to step into some pretty big roles this year. Considering 3 of our seniors didn't play last season due to injury or other reasons and none of the underclassmen, we feel that they have all improved alot throughout the year. With that being said we have struggled to put many W's up against some of the best teams in the state, but we are extremely happy with the boys effort and growth throughout the season and looking forward to what the young guys can do in the future.

Keys For Tournament Success:

Top performers

To be successful in the postseason we are going to have to really step it up on offense, we have struggled to find scoring. We also need to take care of the ball and continue to be aggressive on defense, with not having much height compared to the teams we play we have to work hard to give ourselves opportunities on both ends of the floor.

Good Luck Cardinals!

Coach’s Comments

Thoughts On The Season:

The season has been a thrilling one with the newfound threeclass system in place and playing teams that we had never faced before. New rivalries have been created and altogether it has been a positive experience. The region has some exceptional teams that will make it extremely challenging to come out on top.

Keys For Tournament Success: Defensive consistency and offensive team play will be very important for our team to be successful.

Coach’s Comments

Thoughts On The Season:

Region 2A has been very competitive all year. There are so many quality teams, it will be like a mini state tournament of its own. The atmosphere of the games is so much fun for the fans and players. Overcoming injuries to begin the season was a struggle for us. Getting 2 of our 3 players back and healthy made us very competitive in Region 2A.

Keys For Tournament Success:

We need to continue to play aggressive defense throughout the whole game. We need to stay aggressive and battle the bigger, stronger teams. On the offensive end we need to continue to improve a balanced scoring attack to keep defenses honest.

Thoughts On The Season:

Region 2 was the toughest region in the state during the regular season, which should make for a great tournament. Rebounding and taking care of the basketball have been big keys for our team during the season.

Keys For Tournament Success: Defense and rebounding are always key at tournament time.
