Thoughts On The Season:
The Tornadoes have played their games this season with a lot of confidence, composure, and competitive spirit. We have continued to grow throughout the season and our overall improvement has come with better offensive efficiency and the day-to-day preparation to be ready to play aggressive basketball for 32 minutes. In order to be successful at tournament time, we have to push the tempo, disrupt our opponents, and rebound the basketball especially on the defensive end of the floor. Our seniors have done a great job of leading and keeping the girls focused on what's important now. We need to be consistent, have confidence in our abilities, and have a never give up attitude. We need to attack the process everyday with character, work ethic and a burning desire to compete. We have started to click very well in the second half of the season and we are looking forward to putting our best basketball to the test in the Region 2 tournament.
Top performers
1. Execution and taking care of the basketball along with strong rebuonding will be keys for the Tornadoes at tournament time.
2. Team Defensecompete hard and win the 50/50 balls.
3. Toughness, working together, and staying hungry on every possession.
4. Compete and play hard for 32 minutes.
5. An aggressive defensive attack with consistent scoring contribution from every team member are keys to making a run in the tourney. I am excited to see this team go out and compete in the always highly competitive Region 2 basketball tournament. Everyday be Great.

Coach’s Comments
Daniel Biggers Thoughts On The Season:
This year I saw a lot of improvement from all the girls. We improved our ability not only to score but how we did it, working on running plays successfully for many possessions over a game or our shooting percentages, as well as improvements on defense. We have run a couple different defensive sets and each one the girls have worked hard and played well throughout most of the year, starting with our guard play on the defensive side. Experience and growth have led this Titan group to an improved place in the standings in comparison to last year. Whether it is the more experienced scoring with our younger guards and forwards or our senior leaders helping off the bench. Lastly, this group fights each and every possession all the way till the last play of the fourth quarter. Keeping the games closer and more competitive.
Keys For Tournament Success:
Top performers
Keys for our group will need to start on the offensive end early in the first quarter. A few games we have had rough starts within the first few minutes of a game, even though we fought back in some of them, it lead to a difficult situation to recover from. A good start will help us hopefully keep a competitive edge to begin a contest limiting our need to fight back early on. We will need to rebound well and play sound basketball from start to finish, and play stout defense whether by a zone or man.

Thoughts On The Season:
Region 2 showed in the regular season that there are a lot of talented teams which should make for an exciting region tournament. The Spoilers continued to grow as a team throughout the season. Players were forced into learning new roles after losing a lot of seniors from last year's team. A defensive mindset and making sure of focusing on the details have been key components of their success this season.
Keys For Tournament Success:
1. Continue to focus on details and the little things
2. Team energy and effort. Compete during every possession
3. Tough Defense and Strong Rebounding

Coach’s Comments
Thoughts On The Season:
Again Region 2 proved to be a tough region to play in. Getting competitive games and being able to challenge ourselves with some of the top teams in the state is always beneficial. Our girls played hard and improved as a team on both sides of the ball. Working together offensively to make the extra pass to help the team score was common for us. The girls were very unselfish throughout the season as we had different girls lead us in scoring in many games. Defensively we played aggressive and that hurt us at times by going for steals or getting beat off the dribble, but our girls rotated and helped their teammates out. Overall the season was fun and the girls worked hard in practice and games, did their best, and that is all we can ask of them.
Keys For Tournament Success:
Tony Evenstad

To be successful in the regional tournament we need to take better care of the ball. Unforced turnovers at this time of the year will prove costly. We also need to box out and do a good job rebounding the ball both offensively and defensively. When we get to the free throw line we need to relax and convert them. We will need to play our game, do what got us here and trust in ourselves and teammates.

Coach’s Comments
This season was full of growth. We are a young team, but the girls have never let that stop them from playing hard. They play the game all the way to the end of the final buzzer and continue to fight through adversity.
The key for us to be successful is to be confident in ourselves and our team. We will need to use our speed to make up for our height disadvantages.

Coach’s Comments
Early in the season, our biggest weakness was ball security. It has taken a while, but we have seen a reduction in our turnovers and we've improved as a team in most areas even if doesn't show in terms of wins. Our biggest issue heading into the tournament is finding consistent scoring.
Keys For Tournament Success: For us to be successful we need to take care of the basketball, hold our own on the boards, and shoot well. If we struggle in any of these areas we will struggle to compete.

Coach’s Comments
Thoughts On The Season:
The May-Port CG Girls Basketball team is a blast to coach with the amount of ball pressure they can put on opposing teams. We have had a number of big wins this season. We have really bought into the defensive end of the floor and will need to continue that focus in the postseason.
Keys For Tournament Success: Finishing will be key in the regional tournament against very well-coached teams in Region 2. We will need to finish 32 minutes of great basketball every night, finish every defensive possession with a rebound, and finish our shots at the rim. If we could make a few free throws, that would help, too.

Coach’s Comments
Thoughts On The Season:
It has been a challenging season. We were plagued with injuries and illness. The girls that remained healthy were able to gain a lot of experience which should help us for the future. They remained strong and tried their best to compete each time out on the court. I look at this as a building year and we are excited to have our full team back on the court next season as we do not lose any players from our team.
Keys For Tournament Success: Need to stop teams from running against us in transition. Focus on ball control and reduce turnovers. Be more aggressive on offense to get more shot attempts.

Thoughts On The Season:
The girls have played pretty well throughout the season. We are proud of how hard they work and never give up. They come to play hard every day.
Keys For Tournament Success: For us to have success we need to have more consisstency in our games. Rebounding and shooting percentage are 2 factors that will be huge in trying to advance.

Coach’s Comments
Thoughts On The Season:
The girls have been working hard this season and have been very resilient in dealing with illnesses, injuries, and rescheduling multiple games due to weather, etc. We have had some ups and downs, but overall have seen a lot of growth and improvement in many players. We hope the adversity will help us to be more consistent and put our best effort forth come tournament time.
Keys For Tournament Success:
1. Play tough team defense
2. Limit turnovers
3. Value possessions

Coach’s Comments
Thoughts On The Season:
Region 2 was again very competitive during the regular season which should make for a great tournament. The Tommies built great depth this season returning a strong nucleus from last year along with contributions from a handful of newcomers. An aggressive defensive attack along with improved offensive efficiency have been key components to their season.
Keys For Tournament Success: Execution and decision-making along with tough defense and rebounding will be keys for the Tommies at tournament time. Games can be won or lost from the free throw line so confidence shooting while the clock is stopped will also be a key.
