Over the years, three guiding principles have driven Dr. Olson’s success, and they are our roadmap for the future:

Building on the Past Future to Create the 2 1

Recruit the best.

Federal research fund ng s ncreas ngly im ted, impacting three d seases that col ectively mpair the l ves of half a b l ion peop e age-re ated macular degeneration glaucoma, and diabet c eye

d sease. Fortunately, Moran has been recru ting some of ophthalmology’s brightest m nds to use new technolog es that mprove the speed and deta l of research a med at curing these potentia ly bl nding condit ons With your support we can attract and reta n these top researchers.

Funding s needed to:

• Establ sh endowed cha rs or professorsh ps to recogn ze academ c dist nct on;

• Support research recruitment packages;

• Purchase core equ pment used by a l Moran researchers.

Give people the resources they need and get out of their way.

Donor support has allowed Moran researchers to effectively pursue new therapies. Private fund ng helped the Sharon Eccles Steele
