The Moraga Parks and Recreation Department offers a limited number of recreation scholarships to help Moraga residents access our summer programs and support a healthy, active lifestyle Eligible programs include Moraga Day Camp (all age groups), Future Recreation Leaders Camp, and the Counselor in Training (CIT) Program Scholarships provide a 50% fee reduction, up to $300 per season (not to exceed $600 per calendar year) Applicants must be Moraga residents under age 17 and participate in a qualifying government assistance program Funds are limited, must be approved prior to registration, and are not retroactive All applications are kept strictly confidential Please request an application by emailing recdesk@moraga ca us
Planning to withdraw? Don’t wait! You must request your withdrawal at least 14 days before the program starts to qualify for a credit or refund Please note: a $12 fee per participant, per program applies Miss the deadline? Unfortunately, no refunds or credits will be given Also, refunds won’t be issued for missed classes or if you choose not to participate so plan ahead!
Thinking of switching courses? We can help! Just let us know at least 14 days before the start date, and we’ll process your transfer However, keep in mind, early bird discounts won’t transfer if the registration period has ended Any fee differences will need to be settled when transferring

The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is the perfect opportunity for motivated teens who want to take the next step toward becoming a Moraga Day Camp Counselor This intensive, hands-on program focuses on building real job skills and preparing participants for future employment with our camp team CITs will learn how to lead camp games and activities, support camper groups, provide excellent customer service, and work as part of a professional recreation team Training includes mentorship from experienced staff, leadership workshops, and opportunities to practice skills directly with campers An interview is required to be selected Interviews will be conducted the week of April 14, 3:00–5:00pm If selected, CIT candidates will receive access to register for a program session. Successful CITs will be eligible to apply for a paid Counselor position as early as age 15

Please send campers with a lunch and two snacks.
One camp t-shirt is provided for each camper during the summer. Shirts must be worn on field trips and Fridays to the park!
Fridays are held at Moraga Commons Park for all age groups.
Field trips are scheduled for Adventurers and Legends and are primarily on Thursdays, pending trip availability. Day Camp Mini and Jr. do not attend the weekly Moraga Day Camp field trips. Field trips subjet to change.

Camp KinderCool is for children entering Kindergarten in August 2026. Language, math, and developmental activities will engage each child and give them a feel for the structure and routine of Kindergarten We’ll also have fun singing, painting, building, and making new friends! Please send a small snack each day Participants are encouraged to enroll at their assigned elementary school for the most rewarding experience. Materials fee of $30 is due to the instructor on first day.
