A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER It wasn't very long ago that I was trying to come up with a name for what I knew would be an incredible event based around what we love, adventure. I knew there needed to be an event with more entertainment value than any other, a place with more vendors, and a place where more people could come together from more places. The name for the event was right under my nose and it hit me like a cold bucket of ice water!

In loving memory of Bruce I. Holloway "The show must go on."
Bringing together such an amazing community has been one of the most rewarding projects that I have ever been a part of. There is a special feeling that I get when everything comes to fruition and the MOORE Expo is in full swing. The concession stands are cooking as fast as people can order, shelves are being emptied quicker than they can be stocked, announcements come over the loudspeaker like music to my ears. This must be the feeling that our favorite musicians get just after playing everyone's favorite song. I am humbled and forever grateful to be able to bring the MOORE Expo to our amazing community. My passion and love for entertaining came from a man who will forever be by my side throughout this journey. I am proud to dedicate this year's MOORE Expo to my late father Bruce Holloway, his charisma and charm will always be remembered. I stand by my commitment to bring the best show possible to you everytime. Thank you to all who have supported MOORE Expo since we started in 2019. Here's looking forward to many MOORE years of excitement and innovation!

AT THE MOORE EXPO
recovery room lounge
A PLACE TO RELAX AND UNWIND Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the MOORE Expo, in the North East corner of the East Hall, you will find the Recovery Room Lounge. The relaxing space features comfortable indoor patio seating, live entertainment, local map reading, and refreshing cocktails served by trained mixologists. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy themselves, connect with friends afar, and create new friendships that will last a lifetime.
MOMENTUM Once a year the MOORE Expo returns to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri with more vendors, products, displays, hands-on seminars, demonstrations, celebrity guests, live music and fun. After a break-out debut in 2020, where thousands of adventure travelers, off-road enthusiasts and outdoor fanatics attended the debut show, the momentum continues to build.
“The first year exceeded our expectations,” said MOORE Expo founder and owner Chris Holloway. “The show floor was filled by mid-day with thousands of overlanding enthusiasts.” Getting outdoors and taking the road less traveled is at the heart of overlanding, and the MOORE Expo is geared to help you, your friends and your family make the most of your adventure travels. At the expo you’ll find 177,000 square feet of vendors with gear and accessories for off-road vehicles including jeeps, SUVs and trucks. You’ll also find the latest in powersports vehicles, overland engineered camping gear like rooftop tents, expedition trailers and cooking equipment, outdoor sport accessories for hiking, kayaking and mountain biking, and the latest in navigation, entertainment and safety. The MOORE Expo features a host of educational seminars and live demonstrations including navigation, vehicle recovery, camp cooking and safety. In addition, with support from Midland Radio, MOORE Expo will be offering a satellite adventure called the SMORR2MOORE Overland Rally presented by Midland Radio. Drivers will be given a rally packet with directions, landmarks, and challenges leading them through the most scenic parts of the northern Ozark Mountain Chain. The route will lead them between the Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch (SMORR) in Seymour, MO and the MOORE Expo. The approximate 4-hour ride will travel through parts of the Mark Twain National Forest. “Overlanding is all about the journey, it’s about getting outdoors with friends and family and exploring. With the MOORE Expo we do more than show you the gear, we want to teach you how to use it and even give the opportunity to participate in an overlanding experience.”

Cramming ourselves, the dog, and a couple of sleeping bags into the back of my 4runner was great for our weekend forays into the wilderness, but living fulltime in a chaotic pile of blankets and dirty clothes didn’t exactly appeal to me. RTT’s were growing in popularity at the time and we thought this would be the perfect solution, one extremely wet weekend later, however, we scrapped this idea, returned the tent, and never again uttered a certain 3letter acronym in our household. STUFF IS A SAD SUBSTITUTE FOR HANDS-ON TRAINING By Brittany Highland Hourless Life
Inexperience and advertising are a dangerous combination. As we push our limits in search of new adventures, many of us are aware of what we don’t know. But instead of seeking out training that will fill the gaps in our knowledge, it is often easier to start filling our shopping cart on Amazon. After mounting a hi-lift jack and loading that first aid kit (you know, the one with the highest online reviews), we consider ourselves prepared. We can figure out the rest in the field. Wrong. Before spending another moment on the ultimate gear wishlist, we need to circle back to one basic, guiding concept: stuff is a sad substitute for hands-on training. What good does fancy gear do if we don’t have the proper training to use it?
"...AS WE PREPARED TO DRIVE AROUND THE WORLD WITH OUR YOUNG SON, I REALIZED I’D MADE A GRAVE MISTAKE."
At times, we may find ourselves relying on the expertise of our travel partners. For years, I was guilty of this. My husband spent 20 years in the United States Coast Guard and received extensive first aid training during his time of service. Since we travel together, I never made the effort to take a training course myself. But as we prepared to drive around the world with our young son, I realized I’d made a grave mistake. What if my husband became incapacitated and I needed to take care of him? So before we crossed the border, I finally became wilderness first aid certified. My confidence and knowledge sky-rocketed, and then I actually knew what I was looking at when I opened our Jeep’s first aid kit. The knowledge I gained allowed me to discern between which items were useful, and which were superfluous. Not only that, but I began to get ideas about how I could improvise in an emergency with everyday items. This is what hands-on training does for you: 1. Training helps you avoid wasteful purchasing decisions. 2. Training gives you the experience to discern between pieces of gear that perform similar functions, to choose the most useful item for your vehicle. 3. Training allows you to properly use the gear you have and avoid mistakes that could potentially hurt someone. 4. Training shows you how to creatively improvise in the field with the items you have on-hand. So whether you’re just starting out as an overlander, or you’ve been relying on training you received years ago, take a moment to evaluate your priorities. Instead of rushing into gear shopping, maybe it’s time to take a hands-on training course first.
Brittany Highland is driving around the world with husband Eric and five-year-old son Caspian over the next 10 to 15 years. She has been traveling North America full-time by vehicle since 2014. Follow her global journey on HourlessLife.com.

OFF GRID TRAILERS Off Grid Trailers has really upped-the-ante in the off road and overland trailer segment! With recent updates to the Expedition 2.0 and Pando 2.0, the popular models now have a lower curb weight and a higher build quality. In addition to these updates, Off Grid Trailers has added the all-new Switchback R&S to their capable trailer line up of off-road trailers. Taking their light weight, all metal trailer, Off Grid Trailers is now stepping up the capability factor big time. Off Grid Trailers has worked with an industry leader, Fabtech Motorsports, to design and develop an all-new independent tailing arm suspension that is sure to stand out. The new Off Grid Trailers Evolution Series Suspension by Fabtech Motorsports is all weather tested to -40 degrees Celsius and allows for a full 9-inches of wheel travel. Spring rates have been optimized to enhance load capability and ride height. Off Grid Trailers has used custom valving which allows the damper to control the motion of the suspension, adjusting the rebound depending on how heavily you loaded up your trailer. The suspension is made from thick wall HSS tubing as well as heavy duty bushings and materials. Every Evolution Series Suspension is precision crafted in the USA. Whether you tow your trailer down the highway, or break new trail, this new OGT Evolution Series Suspension allows for a smooth tow with increased ground clearance and will allow your trailer to truly follow you anywhere your 4x4 can go.
