Starting or going back to school? It’s time for vaccinations.
Childhood diseases like measles and whooping cough are currently circulating, so its important children are up to date with routine vaccinations before starting or going back to school. If your child is due to be vaccinated or has missed any vaccines, you can book an appointment at your GP surgery.
Travelling abroad or to other areas in the UK?
It is important that parents and carers of children check they have received both their MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccines before travelling. If your child hasn’t had the MMR vaccination they could be at risk. Measles can be a very serious disease and one in five children who catch it need a hospital visit.
Where to go for trusted information.
It’s okay to have questions about whether vaccination is the right decision for your child. Always get vaccine and health information from trusted sources like the NHS. Merchant Taylors’ Schools appoint Philip Dearden as New Head

Southport Flower Show is back for 2025
