We publish seven magazines throughout the academic year, providing a ‘what’s on and where to go’ guide for families in Cheshire & The Wirral. You’ll find lots of child-friendly events, activities and days out in each issue, along with local news, special offers, school updates and competitions too. We have a selection of upcoming events and days out over the coming months, so take a look at those to make the most of your family time this autumn. Plus, you’ll find updates from local schools and details of their Open Days on page 10 if you are looking at secondary schools for next year. Christmas Jumper Day
This year, Shaun the Sheep will return in his woolliest role yet – as Save the Children’s ‘Head of Wool’ for Christmas Jumper Day – and to celebrate his co-knit-ment to the charity fundraiser, he is launching a nationwide prize draw for schools.

Moana moves sell out audiences at King’s
The family-friendly classic Moana was performed by Year 7-9 pupils at King’s Macclesfield, with the youngsters given the opportunity to take the lead roles. Vienne Wei as the Moana did not disappoint with a charming performance that fully realised both Moana’s vulnerabilities and growing strength. Aiden Clarke, as her side-kick Maui, formed a superb comedy double act. While Ellie Tomlinson was ideal for the crab who likes to talk about herself.
King’s Head of Drama, Miss Deva, said: “Drama is continuing to grow at King’s and we are delighted that we will be adding A-Level Drama & Theatre to our curriculum offer, so that pupils can pursue their academic study of Drama all the way through the Seniors and Sixth Form.
