All who donate will receive a special All American blood drive t-shirt and a FREE meal. “This summer has been one of the most difficult times to keep up with the demand for blood in recent years,” states Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. “We have seen such a significant increase in usage through the treatment of surgery and cancer patients. Currently, there is an outpacing of usage over collections. We are looking for all blood types, with hopes to see a strong showing of support for the blood drive at the Avera Flandreau’s blood drive event to improve the overall condition of the blood supply.” Community Blood Bank supplies over 550 units of blood each week to people in the region. Clinical Applications Coordinator (CAC)
The Flandreau Santee Sioux Health Center is seeking a FT Clinical Applications Coordinator at the Health Center. This position will plan, implement, maintain and provide technical support for electronic health systems, RPMS, extended systems used by the pharmacy, billing, optometry and other departments. Will be responsible for reviewing EHR/RPMS meaningful use configurations and assessing impact on clinical workflow. Education/Experience: BS Degree in Computer Science; minimum two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities; or AA degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties. A background in nursing informatics is preferred. Must submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background investigation in accordance with P.L. 101-630.
