Summary: Assists with implementation of programs for the FSST Health Center Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) in coordination with the FSST recreation department. Will need to have strong ties with the community, and be able to speak and interact with community members of all ages. This position reports to the city council board. Performs a large variety of administrative duties requiring exercise of independent judgement. The position has daily contact with citizens, city departments and officials, other governmental agencies, and various organizations for the purpose city business, utility information, payment processing and customer assistance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare meeting agendas, distribution of agendas, prepare meeting notices, and attend city council meetings and record minutes of all official Trustee meetings.

• Provide supporting information as necessary; make recommendations regarding financial affairs, records and documents to the Board of Trustees,

• Oversee and ensure proper recording and depositing of all receipts and disbursement

• Maintain and invest monies within state guidelines.

Full-Time-Long Term Care Center-Activity Director

The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Admini strator, to assure that an on -going program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident is maintained. Full-Time-Assistant Attorney General

The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe (the “Tribe”), located in Flandreau, South Dakota, is seeking applicants for one fulltime position of Assistant Attorney General. The attorney, under the direction of the General Attorney, will be tasked with the responsibility of prosecuting the Tribe ’s Law and Order Code, and will work closely with Tribal Police and other local state and federal agencies to fulfill the position ’s obligations. The attorney will also assist the Attorney General with assigned matters regarding the representation of the Tribe, its Housing Authority, its Health Clinic, its tribally owned businesses, and the Royal River Casino and Hotel. The attorney will handle all adult criminal and juvenile delinquency matters for the Tribe. Licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of South Dakota, or any other state bar, and is able to be admitted in South Dakota within 10 months of employment. Must have between one and five years of experience as a practicing attorney, with experience in Indian L aw and Criminal Law preferred. Must have a juris doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited law school. No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving a crime of moral turpitude. Must be able to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office and Westlaw. Must have a valid driver ’s license.

GENERAL RULES:

Entries must be the work of the exhibitor and completed during the last year. Entries must not have been exhibited at a previous Moody County Fair in the Open Class division. Paintings and wall hangings must be ready to hang.

The Moody County Fair reserves the right to combine or divide any lot as deemed necessary. Exhibitors may enter a maximum of 4 entries per lot. There is no charge to the exhibitor for entering exhibits in open class.

Persons under the age of 18 as of July 17, 2024, will be judged in the junior division. Please use the entry tags for junior entries with a “J” in front of the lot number and include age of the exhibitor on the entry card. Juniors should be non-4-H.

Every precaution will be taken for the safekeeping of all articles, but the Moody County Fair, SDSU Extension Service, Moody County Extension staff and volunteers will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury that may occur during the judging process or display.

Exhibits may be entered on Wednesday, July 17 from 9-12:00 p.m. only at the Armory. However, literature exhibits are to be entered at the Moody County Extension Office by 3 p.m., Friday, July 12 so the judge has adequate time to read and evaluate entries before the county fair.

Exhibits will be released from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20. Please make arrangements to have your exhibits picked up no later than 10:30 a.m. The Armory must be cleaned that morning. The Moody County Fair, volunteers, and Moody County Extension Service staff are not responsible for exhibits remaining after 11 a.m., July 20.

If your exhibit makes it to State Fair you are responsible for making arrangements to pick up your exhibit at the Women’s Building in Huron on September 2nd. The Best of Show in select categories are eligible to represent the Moody County Fair at the South Dakota State Fair in the County Fairs “Best of Show” Division. Ingredients, method used (raw or hot pack), time of processing (time on pressure or time in hot water bath), and date processed. The lack of this information will disqualify the entry. Current information on food processing can be obtained from the Moody County Extension Office.

One top exhibit from the jellies or pickles lots will be selected as eligible to represent the Moody County Fair at the South Dakota State Fair in the County Fair “Best of Show” Division. PHOTOGRAPHY

Rules: Photographs must be at least 8” X 10” with a maximum size allowable to be 11” X 17”. All photographs must be mounted, not matted, on a 16” X 20” WHITE mat board (not poster board) which is available at office supply stores, arts and crafts supply stores, etc. No framed or matted photographs will be accepted. White borders on photographs should be removed or covered. Cutting on edges should be straight. Photograph finish is the choice of the exhibitor. Either matte or glossy finish will be accepted. All photographs should be suitable for family viewing. Dates in the corner of photograph can be a distraction. No preparation for hanging is necessary.
