PUBLIC NOTICE TREE TRIMMING & MAINTENANCE In accordance with Title 14 - Tree Ordinance, Chapter 14.3.7: 14.3.7.1 The City will herein be responsible for the maintenance, trimming, and care of all park and street trees.

14.3.7.2 The landowner will be responsible for the maintenance, trimming, and care of all private trees situated upon their property, but said maintenance, trimming, and care shall be subject to City requirements regarding pest control or trimming when such actions are necessary to prevent hazards to life and property.

Elm Avenue, Flandreau, SD. Present: Mayor Mark R. Bonrud. Aldermen: Brad Bjerke, Bob Pesall, Dan Sutton, and Karen Tufty. Absent: Alderman Jason Unger and Alderman Donald Whitman. Also present was City Finance Officer Karen Gundvaldson.

The proposed agenda was reviewed. Motion by Pesall and seconded by Tufty to adopt the proposed agenda. The following members voted aye: Bjerke, Pesall, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None. Absent: Unger and Whitman. Motion carried.

The Poll Books of the Municipal Election held on June 9th, 2020 were canvassed with the following results: Mayoral Candidate Emily Firman Pieper Daniel D. Sutton

Daniel D. Sutton was declared elected as Mayor for a four-year term.

The Poll Books of the Municipal Election held on June 9th, 2020 were canvassed with the following results: Alderman Candidate Donald Whitman Mark Ekern Jeffrey C. Weigel

Mark Ekern was declared elected as Alderman for Ward One for a four-year term.

There being no contest for Alderman in Ward One, Karen Tufty, having filed a nominating petition for the two-year term, was declared elected as Ward One Alderman for a two-year term.

There being no contest for Alderman in Ward Two, Michael T. Fargen, having filed a nominating petition for the four-year term, was declared elected as Ward Two Alderman for a four-year term.

There being no contest for Alderman in Ward Three, Brad Bjerke, having filed a nominating petition for the four-year term, was declared elected as Ward Three Alderman for a four-year term.

Motion by Pesall and seconded by Bjerke to approve the Poll Books. The following members voted aye: Bjerke, Pesall, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None.

Absent: Unger and Whitman. Motion carried.

Motion by Sutton and seconded by Tufty to adjourn at 4:20 p.m. The following members voted aye: Bjerke, Pesall, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None.
