The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe is accepting applications/resumes for one Full Time Internal Auditor. This position will monitor and evaluate daily activities within the Royal River Casino for compliance to all Federal, Tribal Laws, Ordinances and Regulations. To test and assess the effectiveness of controls accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations of the casino in order to protect the assets and reputation of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe and to establish the objectives and goals of the Tribe. This position will be under the direct supervision of the FSST Executive Committee. The Internal Auditor will abide by the Code of Ethics as defined by Standard of Conduct of the FSST Internal Auditor. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting of four years, and Indian Gaming accounting experience. CPA preferred. This position must be able to hold a Key Gaming license with the FSST Gaming Commission. Must submit to background check and submit to pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. The Mayor stated that the supplies at the storm shelter are being restocked and the shelter is being prepared for the season. They plan to hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss and review the rules for using the storm shelter. The City Administrator reported that the Aquatic Center will open for the season on Saturday, June 4th. A new breaker box and a ceiling has been installed at the Prouty Shelter in the City Park. Eight new breaker boxes at the City Park’s baseball fields have been replaced. A guardrail and sidewalk has been installed at the park’s new restroom facilities. In 2017, the City plans to make electric improvements at the campground, look into the replacement of an old scoreboard, and finish making repairs to the Izaak Walton Building. Improvements will be made to the park at Southview Heights to make it ready for use in 2017. MidAmerican Energy is currently installing the gas main in the new Southview Heights subdivision. More inquiries were received today from a retail business that expressed an interest in the ALCO Building last year. A public hearing is scheduled for the next Council Meeting for the transfer of BJ’s liquor licenses to the new owners. Motion by Sutton and seconded by Smith to approve the Administrative Reports.
