The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing guidance to the Director of Nursing, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Medical Assistants Qualifications & Requirements: Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures; medical and lab equipment and testing procedures; medication; Considerable knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques.

Ability to work independently; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; deal tactfully and patiently with clients; establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data; use initiative and judgment; maintain effective working relationships with other related agencies; professionals and citizen groups; perform and record total physical examination; obtain vaginal, cervical, urethral and rectal cultures, papanicolaou smears, and other laboratory specimens appropriate.

Skill in diagnostic procedures for diseases and the drug therapy needed for treatment of these medical conditions. Must be proficient in the use of medical and laboratory equipment.

Typical Conditions of Employment: • CPR Certified • May be required to submit annual TB and Rubella Screening.

He asked if having the siren tested by tripping it with a lesser volume at 12:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday's of the month for 3 weeks would be ok. The council was ok with that and approved it.

The City Administrator stated that the John Deere tractor loader discussed at the previous meeting was received on Thursday afternoon. However, we are now told that the skid steer also discussed at the previous meeting is not available through the John Deere Program. Bid notice for materials for Phase 3 of the Electric Improvements has been published. A bid opening is scheduled for December 8th and is expected to be awarded at the December 19th Council Meeting.

Motion by Smith and seconded by Bjerke to approve the Administrative Reports. The following members voted aye: Bjerke, Sample, Smith, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None. Absent: Pesall. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Sutton and seconded by Tufty to go into executive session for a personnel matter at 5:25 p.m. The following members voted aye: Pesall, Sample, Smith, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None. Absent: Bjerke. Motion carried.

A motion was made by Pesall and seconded by Sample to come out of executive session at 6:12 p.m. The following members voted aye: Pesall, Sample, Smith, Sutton, and Tufty. Nays: None. Absent: Bjerke. Motion carried.

Returning to open session, Mayor Bonrud turned the meeting over to Councilman Smith. Smith indicated City staff have been instructed to hold in abeyance the revised cemetery procedures that were approved at the October 17th, 2016 meeting.

He also indicated that additional names are needed to form the committee to review and revise cemetery procedures.

Persons in attendance expressed their displeasure regarding implementation of cemetery procedures without proper notification to involved parties. The Mayor and Council members individually expressed their regret for adopting the cemetery procedures without the formulation of an implementation plan.

Sutton made a motion that a formal letter of reprimand be put in Don Whitman’s personnel file due to procedures not being followed. The motion died for lack of a second.

Discussion continued between City officials and audience members. With no additional questions from those in attendance, the Mayor declared the meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
