Thanksgiving dona tions needed at The Breadbasket food pantry! (We usually have about 90 families come in November) Thanksgiving is a little while away, BUT we will hopefully be able to bless our clients and their families with some extra trimmings for their Thanksgiving meals!

Items needed: Instant potatoes, instant gravy, canned cranberry jelly, canned pumpkin, green beans, cream of mush room soup, crispy friend onions, corn, boxed stuffing, canned sweet potatoes, marshmallows, etc. (Remember that we have about 90 fami lies receive food for the month of November, and so we need 90 of each of the above items!)

FSST Health Center Dental Front Office Manager

The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Center is seeking a FT (40 hours per week) M-Friday Dental Front Office Manag er. Must be an outgoing, experienced office manager willing to manage day to day operations while working in collabora tion with the leadership team to reach our annual and longterm goals. The Dental Front Office Manager acts as a liai son between patients, staff and dentists for routine matters, handles staff and patient questions and concerns. Manages patient scheduling and last-minute schedule changes. Assists team members with cleaning/sterilization, room turnover and patient flow in the office. Works closely with patients regard ing dental lab fees and collection of payments. Works closely with the billing department. Coordinates and manages office schedules for training, operations and staff. Organizes dental team huddles.

Education and/or experience: high school diploma or GED required. Previous office manager or dental/clinical experi ence preferred. Previous experience with Dentrix program is a plus. Must possess great customer service skills.

SUMMARY: this is a FT position (40 hours per week) Mon-Fri. Will provide basic maintenance and repair to physical structures of the building. Preventative maintenance and electrical maintenance. Will per form landscaping activities and maintain parking lot around facility. Performs snow removal during the winter months. Follow instructions regarding use of chemicals and supplies. Stay current with safety, di saster and infection control policies and procedures.

Education and/or experience: High school diploma or GED required. Have 2-5 years of maintenance ex perience. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Need valid driver’s license.

70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice

The Moody County Historical Society is looking for informa tion on all men and women who served during the years of the Korean War. If you or anyone you know has lived in Moody County and served in any of the branches of the military, not just in Korea, but anywhere during these years: June 25, 1950 -July 27, 1953, please let us know. We are planning a special presentation on July 4th, 2023 to honor any living veterans of the Korean War, so we encour age you to reach out if you have any information that may be included. We are also looking for any photos of or taken by the service men/women, and artifacts for a museum display. If you have anything that you would be willing to donate or place on loan for a designated time during next year, please contact our director, Caitlyn Drietz, at the museum.

Position: Chief Human Resources Officer

Department: Human Resources

Location: Tribal Headquarters, Flandreau, South Dakota

Reports To: Tribal President Hours: Full Time – Exempt

Salary: Negotiable Based On Experience

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Business, or other relevant study. (Juris Doctorate Preferred)

Application Period: August 1, 2022 until August 15, 2022 or until filled

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Tribal President, the Chief Human Resources Officer (“CHRO”) is responsible for strategically managing and leading the Human Resources and employees benefit functions of the Tribe, the Tribe’s Health Clinic, and all Tribal Businesses. The CHRO plans and implements Human Resource and employee benefit policies, and updates them periodically. CHRO ensures that all organizational personnel actions are carried out properly, strictly adhering to tribal and federal laws, and ethical standards. The position also ensures that employee benefits are actively managed and compliant.

LICENSES

Possess a current and valid State driver's license with a record acceptable to FSST’s Insurance carrier.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in management or human resources plus four (4) years relevant experience preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for bachelor’s degree.

Any combination of related education and/or related experience will be considered if the candidate possesses the demonstrated ability.
