Thanksgiving donations needed at The Breadbasket food pantry! (We usually have about 90 families come in November) Thanksgiving is a little while away, BUT we will hopefully be able to bless our clients and their families with some extra trimmings for their Thanksgiving meals!

Items needed: Instant potatoes, instant gravy, canned cranberry jelly, canned pumpkin, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, crispy friend onions, corn, boxed stuffing, canned sweet potatoes, marshmallows, etc. (Remember that we have about 90 families receive food for the month of November, and so we need 90 of each of the above items!)

The Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Center is seeking a FT (40 hours per week) M-Friday Dental Front Office Manager. Must be an outgoing, experienced office manager willing to manage day to day operations while working in collaboration with the leadership team to reach our annual and longterm goals. The Dental Front Office Manager acts as a liaison between patients, staff and dentists for routine matters, handles staff and patient questions and concerns. Manages patient scheduling and last-minute schedule changes. Assists team members with cleaning/sterilization, room turnover and patient flow in the office. Works closely with patients regarding dental lab fees and collection of payments. Works closely with the billing department. Coordinates and manages office Education and/or experience: High school diploma schedules for training, operations and staff. Organizes dental or GED required. Years were not easy, many down right hard, but your Faith in God transcended. Put away your tools and sleep in peace. The fences have all been mended. You raised a fine family, worked the land well, under the hot summer sun. Hang up your shovel inside the barn, your work on earth is done. A faith few posses led your journey through life, often jagged and stony way. The sun is setting; the crops are harvested and here now is the end of the day.

Your love of God’s soil has passed on to your kin, the stories flow like a good beer.

Wash off your boots in the puddles of rain, for there is nothing more to fear. You always believed that the good Lord would provide and he always had somehow. Take off your cap and gloves, put them away. No more sweat and worry for you now your labor is done. Your home is Heaven; no more must you wait. Your legacy lives on, your love of the land and “yes” Dad. We will close the gate.

70th Anniversary of the Korean War Armistice The Moody County Historical Society is looking for information on all men and women who served during the years of the Korean War.
