FLANDREAU SANTEE SIOUX TRIBE 2023 ELECTION NOTICE SPECIAL ELECTION - REFERENDUM

On July 26, 2023, Ryan Kills-A-Hundred (Sponsor) filed a referendum petition in accordance with Article VII, Section 1 of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe Constitution and Title 20 of the Law and Order Code. The Tribal Secretary transmitted the petitions to the Election Board who is tasked with verifying the submission.

The Election Board found that the Petition was filed within ninety (90) days of the action in which it seeks to review, that the petitions were signed by more than thirty (30) percent of the qualified voters of the Tribe, and that the other requirements of Title 20 were satisfied. It therefore finds that the referendum petition is valid, and a Special Election must be conducted.

REFERENDUM PRESENTED

BACKGROUND: On Thursday, June 29, 2023, the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe Executive Committee, during a duly called meeting, removed Ryan Kills-A-Hundred as Treasurer of the Tribe with a vote of 4 for, 2 against, and 1 not voting.

REFERENDUM VOTE: Should the Executive Committee action on Thursday, June 29, 2023 to remove Ryan Kills-A-Hundred as the Treasurer of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe be reversed?

 If Yes, Ryan Kills-A-Hundred would return to the role of Treasurer for the Tribe.

 If No, the decision of the Executive Committee will be upheld.

Summary: This position works to ensure the accurate submission of all claims to third party payers according to policy and billing regulations and the collection and posting of accounts to third party payers of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Center. Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Clinic is seeking a full-time Radiology Tech Manager. This positions will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This position will manage the day to day operations including, equipment oversight, vendor and contract negotiations, and delivery of care and supervision of radiology staff. Maintaining focus on exceptional level of customer service. Oversee safety policies and education of staff on use of equipment. Maintains required patients records. Performs QC on imaging equipment as needed.

Coordinate the flow of patients through managing phone calls, running schedules, making future phone appointments, and assisting providers and nurses with various clinical responsibilities as requested. Schedules appointments, checks patients in, verifies demographics, assist with obtaining preauthorization’s and coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Possession of a valid and current CPR certification. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Basic computer skills.
