Summary:

The Tribal Housing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance of houses, oﬃces, infrastructure, and common areas that are owned and managed by the FSSHA consistent with applicable FSSHA policies, Federal regula?ons and Tribal ordinances. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of maintenance personnel along with establishing procedures to assure compliance with the FSSHA adopted policies, speciﬁcally the adopted Maintenance Policy, Procurement Policy, and applicable adopted housing quality standards. Other general responsibili?es include materials management, inventory control, property disposi?on, developing forms, cost forecas?ng and controlling costs required by budgetary constraints, vehicle maintenance and equipment use. The Maintenance Supervisor may also be responsible for assis?ng with the coordina?ng and inspec?ng houses owned and managed by the FSSHA as determined by the Execu?ve Director. The Maintenance Supervisor may also be required to perform other du?es as assigned.

Minimum Qualifica>ons: • Must pass and maintain a P.L. 101-630 Character Background check. • Be in possession of a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under FSSHA’s vehicle insurance. • At least three years of experience in carpentry, grounds keeping, and HVAC. • Gradua?on from high school or equivalent, graduate of a Trade School Highly preferred. • Minimum of three years supervisory experience. • Proficiency in use of MicrosoT Office applica?ons.

Public Health Nurse Job Summary: This is a FT position (40 hrs. per week) Mon-Fri. located the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribal Health Center. Incumbent will provide public health nursing services to individual clients and the community at large, including clinical care, counseling, public health instruction and education. Create departmental policies and procedures relevant to public health. Makes referrals to other agencies and/or providers as appropriate; assists clients in accessing health and community services as needed. Works with physicians to establish and carry on work of maternal, child health, immunizations and primary prevention activities. Education/training: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Licensed Registered Nurse. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current South Dakota license. Two (2) years of experience in Health Education/Community Health/Public Health. Strong skills in patient education, critical thinking and independent decision making. Excellent oral and written communication skills. CPR certified. Basic computer skills.
