Closes: Until Filled Brief Summary: This fulltime position is responsible for providing specialized nursing services in the area that may include school based healthcare, women's health care, family planning, and primary care; does related work as required. The Nurse Practitioner requires an advanced level of competency in nursing through additional education or training as well as a Nurse Practitioner's license and prescriptive privileges. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing guidance to the Director of Nursing, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Medical Assistants Qualifications & Requirements: Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures; medical and lab equipment and testing procedures; medication; Considerable knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques. Ability to work independently; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; deal tactfully and patiently with clients; establish and maintain records, reports and statistical data; use initiative and judgment; maintain effective working relationships with other related agencies; professionals and citizen groups; perform and record total physical examination; obtain vaginal, cervical, urethral and rectal cultures, papanicolaou smears, and other laboratory specimens appropriate. Skill in diagnostic procedures for diseases and the drug therapy needed for treatment of these medical conditions. Must be proficient in the use of medical and laboratory equipment. Any person who brings an award from 1980-1999 will earn $10. Any person who brings an award older than 1980 will earn $15. (Flandreau bucks). We will also host a community Mock CDE during the breakfast. FFA Members will have signs posted on their lockers starting on Thursday, Feb. 16 to recognize their membership. The mystery FFA alumni guessing contest. Clues will be given weekly in the Enterprise for 4 weeks prior to FFA week. The announcement of the winner and of the mystery alumnus will be announced at the community breakfast.

Council President Dan Sutton stated that the Flandreau Police Department should be contacted regarding the legality of a truck that has been parked behind the Zandt building at 101 E. 2nd Avenue as it appears to have not been moved. He also asked if a meeting date has been established for the 1st Avenue project community meeting. The City Administrator shared with Council that a phone conference with Clark Engineering and Rural Development took place recently regarding finishing up Phase 1 and moving into Phase 2 of the water and sewer line replacements. Rural Development has allowed bidding; we anticipate the first bid notice will be published beginning February 22nd. He informed Council the Flandreau Dam Engineering Study is explained in a written report; he expects to place it on the agenda for the March 6th Council meeting. The Crackerbarrel will take place this Saturday, February 11th at the Flandreau Public School Elementary Commons with our State representatives present. The next Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 21st due to the President’s Day holiday; a public hearing is scheduled for that meeting for the transfer of liquor licenses. A small claim has been filed against the business discussed in previous meetings that owes the City past due utilities. Alderman Bjerke requested that the contractor be present at the 1st Avenue community meeting when the date is established. Alderman Sample asked about cleaning the heating/cooling duct work and vents at the City Office and the sewer problem on Pipestone Avenue that occurred this past weekend. Motion by Veldkamp, seconded by Miles to declare all used supplies including culverts, bridge plank, and scrap metal with a value less than $500.00, surplus and authorize the sale at current market prices. Motion by Veldkamp, seconded by Bruning, to accept the low bid for metal culverts, bridge materials, and cutting edges from True North Steel submitted to and accepted by the Beadle County Commission on January 3, 2017. All voted “aye”. Motion by Miles, seconded by Ehrichs, to authorize Chairman Doyle to sign the Funding agreement with the SD Department of Transportation for BRF 6320(00)16-1, Moody County, PCN 05R7 (Bridge Number 51-100-030). All voted “aye”. Motion by Miles, seconded by Ehrichs to approve the following resolution, with all members voting “aye”: MOODY COUNTY WEIGHT LIMIT ENFORCEMENT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, seasonal climatic changes can be detrimental to our highways, and WHEREAS, the Moody County Board of County Commissioners desires to protect existing Moody County Highways, ultimately saving tax dollars and, WHEREAS, the Moody County Board of County Commissioners desire the enforcement of weight limitation of Moody County Roads as set forth and posted by the Moody County Highway Superintendent.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: WHEREAS, the limits on Moody County Highways shall be set as seven (7) tons per axle on all asphalt surface roads and seven (7) tons per axle on all gravel roads during the spring thaw period and when limit signs are in place. That the South Dakota Highway Patrol be and hereby is authorized and requested to enforce weight limitations on Moody County Roads. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the penalty for the violation of the load restrictions shall be set forth in SDCL 32-22-55. Vote of the Moody County Commission: AYE: 5.
